Middle class pays taxes, not willingly but no escape and one more thing- what they get back from the Govt. is minimal.They struggle themselves to survive.

Poorest people pay maximum taxes. Rich and middle class, in that order, get the maximum advantage of government subsidies meant for the poor. Think of subsidesed LPG, Petrol, rail, road, hospital, education, etc. The poorest do not have the money to take advantage of these subsidies. They cannot buy a vehicle or even the gas stove to take advantage of these subsidies.
each Kondratiev wave is triggered by sudden rise in products & wealth ( in 1840 it was the industrial revolution, now IT & consumer electronics ), followed by a LONG period ( 10 - 15 years ) of stagnation.
Only the Germans know how to avoid such speculation driven boom & bust.
