Wow..A one kilometer high tower ?? At a cost of US $1.23 billion ? But it seems the architects and engineers are not local to Saudi Arabia ? Why ? Do the Gulf countries not produce talented individuals who can for once claim to be the worlds best ?

For your information, if you do not know the fully subject, do not talk nonsense. I never heard any terrorists activities in UAE since I am based in UAE for the last seven years.

In Saudi Arabia, you are not allowed to dry your undergarments in the open...the religious police will come and throw you in prison...this is because the sight of other people's underwear might corrupt Saudi minds :)

Trivia :
According to gospels in bible, the humans built the tallest tower already - It was the Tower of Babel. It reached to the heavens so that humans can easily climb up. God was so pissed that he came down, smashed the tower to pieces and gave the humans multiple confusing native languages so that they cannot inter communicate, organize and build that tower again.
And thats why we have thousands of languages in the world. theoretically, the tallest tower can reach the heaven if all humans coordinate to build it.
-- Dont laugh at me .. Its in the Bible, ask a nearby Padri about it.

I think Shobit has made a valid point. I paid special attention to the words 'If all humans coordinate to build it'.

Nobody will fly planes to smash the tower. After all, all hijackers barring Mohammed Atta on Sep 11 were from Saudi Arabia.
