Electric cars the future. India needs entrepreneurs to build the next generation cars. For instance, Solar powered charging stations need to be set-up, much like Phone PCOs. Electric cars will then swap batteries at these power kiosks. Nissan is already experimenting with this concept in California with its new Nissan LEAF. Indian government must encourage the development of Electric Car Infrastructure by selecting some of the backward states to develop these new concepts and technology.
Ban cars above 1000cc Ban cars that give less than 15 kmpl Ban cars which are not Euro-III compatible Ban all 2S bikes/Scooters Increase rates of bikes above 150cc Ban SUVs or double the price Make public transportation cheaper Increase petrol price so that companies make atleast 15% profit, this is required to buy oil and rest can be ustilised for poor programmes.
one need not be a nobel laurette to tell it. China , brazil and India adds millions of cars, two wheelers on their roads, energy consumption for industries and home is increasing, population is increasing and more number of people are coming out of poverty zone into middle class or lower middle claas region and they need the materials their fathers did not demand. it is not surprising that commodity costs shhots up.
we have too much oil resources. earlier indira gandhi found import of oil commissions a big election fund to congress party. now oil became a essential commodity and we need very badly. why we should not explore our own wells. instead importing taxing too much & making our citizens lives horrible.
