I responded to a mail that I received to my rediffmail that said your mail has been chosen for USD 10000000 award from Microsoft and waiting to get the money from last one month. I thought this article has some information on that, but this is something else. So sad!!
How is the money a bad thing? Agreed that the money is not so big but then, nobody ever won a Nobel prize for the money. For a startup recogntion, money & guidance from Microsoft would be a big thing. The very fact of their winning this award would line up VCs at their doors? It's something like winning the Miss India contest. The stuff you get from the contest as prize money or perks may not mean much, but the recognition means a lot more. Also, technology & business/ technology guidance from MS cannot mean a bad thing. Worst case, just dont take it.
What is the value of USD 100,000/- these days ? Liken to throwing grains to pigeons and watching them feed, while MS mints from the general public. The thought is good but currently seems only a PR stunt. MS & all other IT (including Indian) firms - you can certainly do better

Idiot, stop fooling these readers/ those b............s r asking for donations ////but i know barkha dutt is one b....h whole of ndtv is paid by CONGRESS / PRANNOY GETS A CHEQUE EVERY MONTH....BUT WHAT U R SAYING IS NOT CORRECT
Real estate is one business which will give the useless fit for nothing thugs the chance to make disproportionate income by bullying and cheating people. Normal people who are more educated and slogging to make ends meet will end up becoming corrupt to reach the income levels of these fit for nothing thugs.Our PM and FM should take measures to curtail this lot by doing the following according to me.1)Stop providing easy loans to real estate companies. 2)Not releasing the loans already sanctioned. 3)Not restructuring the already released loans due for payment.4)Allowing the natural economic process to take care of the prices of the properties.5)Allowing the companies to become NPA account if the loan due is not paid.
HOPE THIS WILL SET EDUCATED AND PEOPLE SUPPORTING ANNA H. to mobilse more people to support this so that all the INDIANS WITH OUT THE SUPPORT OF THE GOVERNMENT CAN HAVE HOUSES WITHOUT RESORTING TO BECOMING CORRUPT.
I wonder what would have happened if all the US companies did not move so many of their jobs to India? I think Indians need to be thankful their economy is growing thanks to the US otherwise I don't know how many people would be without jobs!!!
