problem and root cause is the dirty indian people. i recently visited delhi airport, where govt was employing so many ppl to keep it clean, but this dirty indian ppl come and litter it all over the place, garbage bins are kept every step, but they throw their dirt under seats and all over the place!
- stop littering streets and u clean ur own dirt indian ppl. - have basic common sense on how to live in society and be cooperative, dont be so mean. - respect law and order indian ppl - make less babies - play an active role and voice ur opinion, dont be so inferior all the time indian ppl - use deodrant indian ppl - dont damage ur country indian ppl, when u eat u throw ur own dishes. when u watch movie, u clean ur popcorn and dont talk indian ppl
I am surprised at some of the comments below. To me, such surveys / articles should be ignored. The basis on which these selections are made are based on many western values like "happening", Parties, Clubs, Casinos etc. Indians (and many other Asian countries) do not care a damn for such things. Not surprised that no Indian city or any Asian city its worth appears here. The give away is PARIS at the top what can I say about city famous for sex shops rather than values......

And what is your criteria for best places to live in? Trash, garbage, pollution, crowd? All Indian cities would top the charts then.
India is considered the country of age old traditions and massive cultural heritage.Nevertheless, no Indian city among the top ten is a matter tremendous shock.Who is responsible for that?We are proud of India.Emotion,passion and panache run high,when we as an Indian acheive something at the international stage.Our country is asking for permanent member in the Security Council because ours is the largest democracy and Indians have high regard for Human Rights.In spite of such stupendous achievements,we are lagging behind to a large extent.The root cause is corruption,vested interest and lack of accountability because everyone gives lip service but no one is prompt in action.The Politicians,the real administrator, have has lackadaisical approach towards India's progress.Once the present Kolkata was a city of World's attention,see its position.It is necessary to be dynamic unorthodox and dilligent.Lets try to excel.

Instead of being so negative why don't you visit Africa - Ethiopia, Zimbabwe etc. Why don't you go to Bangladesh and Nepal? Instead of working to make things better you guys have the worst attitude.
