Govt is the fountain head of corruption.Exemplry punishment and confiscation of all properties and seizure of bank accounts shall create a little discipline.

Corruption defined
by Shyam Sunder on Aug 17, 2011 02:29 PM

The writer is trying to say something but not himself clear of what he want to tell. Corruption is already well defined and should not be confused with everything else. In the first place, government should demarcate the government and private business clearly and there shall be no overlapping in any manner. Government work shall not be contracted or outsourced to others- this is the first cause of corruption leading to nepotism. The political bosses should not interfere in administration of executive machinery. They indulge in promotions, appointments, transfers, postings, etc and encourage party followership in bureaucracy - this is the next cause of corruption - favouritism. Thirdly, any case of corruption should be dealt with stringently and no leniance shall be allowed at any level in judiciary. Today one court says yes and another says no. Just dismiss the corrupt and jail him/ her, however he/she may be. Since technology is available, make all public interactions online as much as possible. Educating illiterates is no big issue, they already use remote controls for TVs and cell phones well; a simplified and easy to use standard software can be used by all. Make independent non-bureaucratic, non-political machinery to deal with investigation and punishment of corruption cases. Make morals and ethics part of education syllabii.

Sri Aurobindo said, "It has been said that democracy is based on the rights of man; it has been replied that it should rather take its stand on the duties of man; but both rights and duties are European ideas. Dharma is the Indian conception in which rights and duties lose the artificial antagonism created by a view of the world, which makes selfishness the root of action, and regain their deep and eternal unity.

that should happen but it is not

Corruption
by arungopal agarwal on Aug 17, 2011 01:06 PM

Very easy, if will is there, just do:
1. Remove the fellow on prime facie charges from the seat,(not asking suspension)
2. Decide every corrupt/criminal case within one year time.
3. Govt. deptts, are not allowed to appeal if defeated in any court, as all courts are formed by govt. only.
4.All govt. servants must retire on army pattern, where a jawan retires at 40 and Lt. Col. at 50, if the fellow is fit and posts are there, he continues. At least after earning pension, all govt. employees must be kept for fixed term of 3 or 5 years instead of guaranteeing them upto 60 years of age.
This will bring down corruption in public life by more than 80%.

Kick out Marathis and South Indians to reduce corruption
by UP Guy on May 09, 2011 06:53 AM  | Hide replies

India is not going to improve because of corruption flowing in from South and Maharashtra.
There is no doubt about the fact that all the corruption in India today is due to South India and Maharashtra. The list is very huge: Dawood Ibrahim, Suresh Kalmadi, Sharad Pawar, Bhujbal, Hasan Ali, A. Raja, Karuna, Stalin, Kanimozhi, Yeddy, Reddy, Telgi, RamLingRaju. Unfortunately nothing can be done about it because marathi and southie genes are corrupted because they have defective DNAs.
Best is to shift anything which is important to the nation to North India, Hindi states.

So which State in South or West do Lalloo, Maya and Shiela belong to? Where there is business and competition, there will be wrongful means too co-existing, but where there is no such thing called development like the UP, Bihar, West Bengal or Orissa, why is corruption existing? Is it because you think corruption without development is better than otherwise?

Foolish. We are talking about reducing corruption. Whatever currency is valid will only be used for paying bribes. For fighting inflation and black money, demonetisation is a way of tackling, not reducing corruption.

To reduce corruption?
by Nagarajan Viswanathan on May 08, 2011 12:24 PM

Change the system of governance. The present system needs a lot money and man power. Our democracy is like 'dig the entire hill to catch a rat'.Elect only the PM and CMs and let them rule with their team for 5 yrs and decide afterwords to give them one more tenure or not?
