Simple, Bring in accountability
by chunjaru on Apr 23, 2011 03:12 PM

Accountability wont come when you are in the government. Once accountability comes, employees will look at priviliges someting that they have earned by virtue of putting in exempleary work. Right now the priviliges are given as something as pocket money. Make the airline private. Too much money is being wasted, the pm and president cana fly in IAF planes. AI/IA is this present form will never be profitable.

STOP THESE PREVILAGES
by madanmohan siddhanthi on Apr 19, 2011 09:26 AM

Air India , Railways etc should stop these previlages and convert them in to cash and pay the employees .First this stops unnecessary travels just because they have passes .Also the payment will ease the traffic owes . This should be stopped for all new recruits right from day one - so in the long run - a loss making organisations can earn some revenues.

staff travel

this article gives a wrong picture about staff travel and wants to defame staff for no reason at all.staff on leae travel is always on standby basis whether on weekdays or weekends. secondaly staff on duty IS given a confirmed ticekt, but to fix the date of travel of staff on duty is the prerogative of the management. if the managements wants the staff to travel on duty on sat or sunday the staff CANNOT say NO.
i fail to understand how these journalists give wrong inforation

Very True.It is not that staff occupies most of the seats on daily basis.Simple it is standby. If have vacant seat the fly otherwise go home. Those who travel on standby they know the pain.

Fremji's Vipro is like Municipality, they have only Testing projects & Netwrongking projects, in the history so far they delivered Billions of Failed Projects in the GULF countries alone.

Wipro is king of delivering failed projects to Gulf Countries.

In wipro its legal to deliver failed Projects & bill to Customer.

Fremji is getting Projects by spy Gulf Countries for Iran.

They should also dispense with Blocking seata for politicians and VIPS. They invariably make a lame excuse of travelling for the welfare of nation but end up attending to their personal or money grab activities

Air India staff asked not to fly on weekends
by krishnan menon on Apr 18, 2011 08:00 PM  | Hide replies

it looks like the staff of air india are following their political masters - in assuming that the airline is their family property. i once had the unfortunate chance of travelling with the son of the MP - at mumbai airport and the way the staff of the airline were fawning on the mp and his family almost made me puke. the staff even had the temerity to tell me to move to another location in the first class lounge - as the mp's family wanted privacy. i told them that neither the lounge nor the airline belonged to the mp / his family of the staff n their families and that i was not going to budge an inch fm where i was seated. finally the mp with his fly moved away. that was my first incident with an mp and it left a sour taste in my mouth, which still refuses to go away seeing how the political class are looting the country.

Even a ordinary person/family travelling in 2 tier railway compartments make requests for swapping of seats , which is very normal. In fact you should appreciate the MP when he left for a different location after you refused his request.

mr mullah - u hv to u/s the subject b4 commenting. the lounge belongs to the people of this contry who are the masters n not the ruiling class who are the slaves. we need not give up the place where we r sitting just bcos the mp and his family want privacy. if they want privacy, it should not be at the cost of aam janata. of course with all the reservations that u n ur class enjoy, u will not u/s what being aam janata means!

Staff travel restrictions.
by Tom Dick on Apr 18, 2011 07:49 PM

Almost all airlines do impose 'embargo' on certain days or certain period for personal travel. They even put restriction for duty travel for non-operating staff. It is not a new thing as the AI staff claims. Why the big noise? Some staff must have manipulated bookings so that there will be 'no shows' on departure hence a restriction even for 'standby' tickets.
