Laws of Business
====================
Do not oppose it but refine it and transparent

without business ,ecomic activity does not happen and jobs will not be created

let the money rotate - Flights ,Hotels ,web site design ,merchandise etc all will help jobs
---------------------------------
Refine schedule and keep it sweet do not over do it or it will stretch too thin

keep transparency and professionalism and it is good
--------------------------------------------

Those who do not like IPL especially outsiders of india do not be jealous ,when kerry packer made World series and Benson and Hedges(Cigarrate company ) all our players from India played and we never said nasty things then so do the same now

we know some politicians are corrupt - I find some taking names - yes only one politician and less than 6 percent sahre in one franshise out of seven or eight

as for business men from India ,let us not throw stones ,all business men across the world are same ,has had interacted with Govt and got policies or taxes worked out by best accounting firms

so please do not be JEALOUS of india and success of IPL
each season of IPL has paid players from all parts of world good money
----
first edition - Andrew symoomds (Aus)
second edition - Flintoff and pieterson(Eng)
Roach - west indies
Gambhir(India)
all 5 star hotels and good facilities for players and security too with some nice owners like Preity etc

so please be appreciative of Indians

point Too much cricket will make players very tired --- may be they should structure it to fit properly in a calendar year sometimes skip it in between valid point
======================
But IPL is entertrainment for many indians like IT professionals ,young and families so nothing wrong in having it
It is also good way to get TAXES ,create jobs (Flights ,hotels etc ) and rotate money into indian economy

I am an ardent Croicket follower and must have been following Cricket from Ceylon Radio times .This circus of IPL has not interested me and I prefer amtach between Bangladesh and Australia to IPL .Infact I would watch women cricket played between two countries than this circus .This is nothing but money spinning rocket and a way to make some very rich and piublic is paying whether it is some famous and rich person in advertisement or TV channel or Tikcets money .This another Corruption support Anna Hazare and say good bye to this sort of so called entertainment.

with all respect money is always there in sports
are you saying only IPL is money ?
not other sports like EPL - English Premier League
well argument can be made about too much cricket played

But Money is always a factor in all sports - FiFA world cup

likewise all business too

-------------------------------
May be some do not like as that money is rotated inside india (organisation wise) and they would want the pie No guess needed to see who wants the pie

sir
with all respect ,saying good bye will not stop it --- it just goes out of india to South Africa ,Australia or England

People who work and have job want entertrainment ,with the rise of indian economy ,need for entertrainment arises as well --- unfortunately we do not have Fun parks like Disney land and Gold caost type in thousands of acres with a 1.2 billion plus people
-----------------------------
I would prefer to be shortened from 74 ganes to 50 games and made to fit a certian schedule ,if too mmuch cricket in a calendar year ,then that year better not have it ,skip it for next season
--------------------------------
As long as Govt gets taxes ,it is ok It makes Flight tickets booked ,hotels booked ,stadium snacks sold etc
so there are jobs and economic trigger as well
--------------------------------

India & its looting politicians, gambling game IPL
by Whiteman on Apr 09, 2011 04:41 AM  | Hide replies

IPL? Well its INDIAN POLITICIANS LEAGUE. This is a way for the politicians like Pawar and the group, corrupt businessmen like Anil Ambani, Mukesh Ambani, filmstars like Sharukh Khan, Preity Zinta and small time punters to GAMBLE publicly huge sums of their BLACK MONEY. The cricketers are pawns or horses and they also suck their muscle of black money from such gambling sports. Such gamble takes place as the Indians are blinded with media glare. As thousands of Indians die of starvation, 34% of India is yet below poverty line struggling to eat even one square meal a day, NO ELECTRICITY, NO WATER, NO HOME & NO PLACE TO EVEN SQUAT for a decent call of the nature. You can see this 34% of India squatting on railway tracks to answer their call of nature, right in front of the India. While Sharad Pawar & other politicians shamelessly drive in their red light cavalcades, pressing their noses, thinking how best to loot the poor man. This is India.

some element of truth is there
==========================
But business also drives Jobs and taxes otherwise how will you make people spend money

let them have entertrainmenat at a stadium and let them spend -
consume coke and pepsi ,tickets etc also TV commercials etc
it is same everywhere even in USA base ball super league also does it
----------------------------
somehow money has to rotate in the system if Taxes are paid (I guess a few hundred crores) correctly I do not mind

It is not IPL to create Toilets and facilities

It is Govt that should spend on civic infra with collected taxes
=============================
If u do not allow money to be spent in India ,it will goto London or Sydney or Durban that is also not advantageous

atleast money spent here should create jobs at stadium inside and outside ,Flights booked etc
=============================
otherwise Govt has to create Fun parks like Disney - because those who earn money and work need entertrainment to spend money

while those who do not have money need it

so it is Govt that has to balance both sides - with taxes collected properly and spent
===============================
I understand your frustration - you want it in Australia so that some Kerry Packer or ACB(Australian Cricket Board) host it so that you can get the pie

honestly you mentioned lack of toilets - do you really care about it mate ? ultimately it is indias issue and our internal issue ? a few hundred st

You mentioned ambani as corrupt ,with all respect all business men over the world are also having some traits please tell us why the German banker got 2000 accounts of wealthy American ,English ,Italian ,Australian etc citizens accounts in swiss Leicheinstein Banks ?
we know corruption in India ,and being an Indian we are concerned
But I think your grouse is that money in IPL is made by Indian owners not outside owners and that is the sour point ?so you are making some points like peoople squat on tracks ? we do know that and we should solve it and it is Indias problem ?
are you saying people in India ,do not have water or electricity so they should not have IPL ?

fooling the people of india
by Peter Tholath on Apr 08, 2011 10:56 PM  | Hide replies

circket means just fooling the people of india. we the common public sit to watch the match and spend 5 hrs to 8 hrs cheering the players and they take aways crores of crores of rupees. okay thats all fine if the money is paid by the cricket board and so on.
but the pathetic part is that our government pays crores to these cricketers who are already well off and get advertisment contracts. instead the government should be spending these monies for promoting and giving good facilities to other sports personnel like atheletes, hockey players and wrestlers who have won for us medals at the asian games level commonwealth and olympics. a time has come where we the people of india should start promoting other sports by rendering moral support to them.

Dear friend
I agree to your point Govt cannot force against popularity or will of the people
Govt did not create the demand ,people of India did ,for those very same people to switch to Hockey ,Hockey players need to beat Australia ,Germany or Dutch in world titles

wrestling is a sport of short format and does not catch the fancy of indian people as of now
