1. smell from all corners
2. Dust , bad roads, bad traffic
3. Traffic jam , distance measured by hours not by Km.
4. Corrupt Traffic Police.
5. City od Dalals for everything broker lobby is there.

this is third world's third grade city. People in Mumbai have no time for anything as they remains in office after normal working hours unncessarily . 8 hrs normal duty time 2 Hours over staying due to cahmchagiri or his wife working in some other company so need not go to home timely 2 2 hrs travelling = total hours 14 Hrs. So there is no time to meet and greet others because of this no one peeps to others ( this is goos thing only).

Rest high price for everything, Gutters open road, Cockrochs and pegions, crow at every aprtment. apartments are never painted looks like Afganistan.

In Mumbai, travelling for one hour is normal, though the distance will be less than 5 kms..the traffic is so bad one, it is better to walk to office than go by road..trains are like truck carrying cattle..smelly underarms rubbing against us early morning and paan-chewing UPp-bihhhar people making it dirty..

Image of Mumbai is Wrong .It is of Tokyo. See carefully rail line is passing through one of building. This marvel is from Tokyo. Offcourse in Mumbai Local trains in Mumbai pass through slums but that is more due to encroachments than due to any engineering marvel

useless prediction
by prashant hande on Apr 07, 2011 04:54 PM

I have observed one thing. These surveys always change every year or agency by agency.
On what basis Mumbai is going to be the prominent city?

Mumbai has poor infrastructure.

Fed up with Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore
by SRIKANTH S on Apr 07, 2011 04:52 PM  | Hide replies

What nonsense is this? Dont we have any other cities other than these three. They are over crowded, and it is the high time to look beyond Mumbai and Bangalore.

So much money spent on Delhi for CWG, and the transportation is still pathetic in Delhi. Too much of importance for Mumbai and Bangalore.

Following info shoule help you

Mumbai pays the highest tax in entire India

Corporates still prefer coming to Mumbai rather than Delhi ( which is so unsafe for women , forget abt doing business )

The level of hardwork and integrity Mumbaikars put is nowhere in India

Lastly you can ask your foreigner friends if they live in a RV which they park next to a public toilet as must be the case with most Americans
