Solution is simple...follow the laws
by Passed on Sep 29, 2010 09:05 PM

We have good laws which had noble notions, but politicians, bureaucrats and businessmen has used the loopholes to make illegal money. All we need is just to follow the law. It will take care of everything. We do not need extra money being spent, just the money that has been spent should go to purposes for which they were allotted than the to the people who were suppose to execute the work.

Nonsense
by imran patel on Sep 29, 2010 12:18 PM  | Hide replies

Another piece of nonsense legislation by inept politicians.

This is how they try to correct their previous mistakes and end up making it worse.

Here is a simple solution...

RESPECT PROPERTY LAWS.

If a person owns a land ... he/she should not be forced to sell it to anyone irrespective of what lies under it.

Government should stop transfering the ownership of land. It is not their business.

I agree to the extent that Govt should be a party in assisitng the private companies in acquiring the land forcibly on companies behalf. The govt should frame a reasonable policy on the basis of which the displaced families will get suitable compensation preferably at market rates and annuity amount for a specified period on the basis of land holding and the total period of mining life. Private companies can better this policy and the affected family should give their consent on the basis of this policy and if more than 75% families are agreeable to part with their land, the whole land should be made available to private companies on lease. The govt. should also make policy as to what to do with the land after the expiry of lease.

Please make ammendment in the above that govt. should not be a party instead of 'govt. should be a party'.
