Ideal car with optimum utility and value for money
by Edison John on Sep 21, 2010 06:07 PM

Maruti swift or Maruti Ritz would, any day be a better proposition. Don;t go b y the sales talk of the Salespeerson or people with half baked information. Better still, buy the latest copies of the magazines, " What car " Auto " Car magazines available at your local store or bookshop. Even these reports are a little biased. They may suppress negative factors and highlight the significant ones. The best option, ( if you can afford )is to buy all the equivalent cars in the Figo range ( ie., 4.5 lakh to 5.5 lakh. Use them for 3 months. Choose the best and sell off all the crap cars as pre-owned cars ( a glorified name for second hand cars )

Very few Punto cars are seen on road compared to Swift or i10. So something wrong with Punto. Cannot take risk.

There is nothing wrong with Punto.
It is just that FIAT presence in India was limited till Tata Motors decided to rejuvenate the JV by sharing service centers also.
So now you have a good service network to back you up if you are choosing the Punto.

the ideal 4 wheeler
by dhananjay kritu on Sep 21, 2010 03:57 PM

The result along expected lines. After all, we Indians still compare the ultomate value of a car with the "Ideal" 4 wheeler - our own desi bullock cart. Since Tata, Mahindra & Maruti make the closest clones of the same, no wonder

Re: No Chevy Car, why?
by sk ms on Sep 21, 2010 03:57 PM
Pre-paid or post-paid, These numbers are coming from actual sales . Now as we see the list have those cars that did more than 3000 cars a month so if acar is not there it means thats not selling >3000 units per month in August 2010 . Even Alto K10 is not there doesn't mean its not good . in August 2010 it just started. The aritcle is not to suggest which one to but but it just says which one is selling.

India's fastest selling cars

Thanks to Rediff, the Terrorists & Convicts will start buying these now, to outwit the Law. They will also park these in crowded places to explode cooker bombs (the catch being stupid Indians, who have no work and always want to pass time, will come to ogle at them in hordes, thanks to Rediff's hype & get blown.)

Maruthi is the Best
by mallaiah anchoori on Sep 21, 2010 01:33 PM  | Hide replies

Maruthi is "Maruthi" & no other vehicle beats it.True to its meaning,a ride in this car is as if it is in the air.Its adaptability with the changes being brought in tune with the changing needs & comforts of the people is certainly an edge over the other brands.Every aspect of this brand-either in terms of the easy availability, acceptability, tested road worthiness especially for the Indian roads which enjoy a dubious distinction for their erratic traffic, net work of the outlets, availability of spare parts & customer service make the "Maruthi "car very popular

At the rate at which Ford Figo is selling and with the kind of features incorporated it is the best in its class. Polo & Punto are priced higher and in that price you can get i20, Swisft, Indigo etc. So Figo is the best.

if u wanna buy a Figo, buy the diesel version.
i20 and polo both are comparable, but Hyundai has a better service.
Test drive and see what suits u.
wagon R is one segment lower, and cheaper.
