ENGINE THRUST OF 44000 POUND IS GOOD FOR FIGHTER AND SECONDLY ITS BACK END ENGINE FLARE UP SHOULD BE LESS. GE ENGINE IS ALREADY TESTED IN F 18 AND GRIPPEN ITS GOOD ENGINE. TOMMORROW THERE WILL BE MORE ENGINE LIKE WHICH IS POWERING TYPOON IS HAVING GOOD THRUST....THRUST IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN WIEGHT
Who ever the vendor may be? India should ensure that the technology transfer and know how of the in and out the engine should be throughly taken from the vendors. Hope India will be in a position to develop its own engine in future making the country self-dependent in production of Combat air crafts.
