Employment
by Ashwin on Sep 17, 2010 08:49 AM  | Hide replies

India is going to be (or is it already) full of Public Toilets which we call Cities& take pride in announcing our growth. The bubble will burst one fine morning (like USA & West, but for different reasons) & India will have nowhere to go. Our Ministers,MPs,MLAs,IAS,IPS, IRS etc. are all interested in their growth only & never alround growth. No one has the least idea how to go about to develop INdia & hence no wonder, everyone is working double overtime, for their personal growth. Politicians in 1000s of crores, Officials in 10s of crores, 3 letter captains in 100s of crores. This is what India vision 2020.

top employment generators
by mohan kurella on Sep 16, 2010 08:36 PM  | Hide replies

Is this a news to feel proud or sad. we are creating some pockets of deveopement where majority of jobs get created. Leaving aside, Gurjarat, Tamilnaud and punjab in India everyother state has a lopsided development. Except the state capital, there are no regions in rest of the state in the race of development or job creation. Infact in some states like Bihar, MP even state capitals remain sluggish. By creating these employment pockets we are creating urban congestion and reigionalism. We have to spread the industry and development hundreds of kilometers from cities and get them well coneected.

Goa is the only state where there is no difference between City and Villages.. In all other states.. the difference is huge.. City is very rich and Villages are very poor.

Since Corporations have become bigger and smarter, Govt cannot monitor their day-to-day illegal & immoral activities.
It is better to breakup these corporations into smaller entities to promote competition and solve unemployment crisis

Jobs in Delhi
by KARTHIKEYAN PS on Sep 16, 2010 01:01 PM

One very good example. Famous AMITY UNIVERSITY, 95% of staff are daily wages. Fixed consolidated salary with no benefits. All retied IAS people are appoined in senior post. For them it is time passing. But the college charges high fees from students. It is located at isolated place, commutation is very difficult. Most of employees in AMITY UNIVERSITY does not know about what are the statutory benefits available in a good company. There is no system in HR no HR policy. Big change required.

R Bhusan, there are bangladeshis all over india, even your next door neighbour may be a B'deshi.B'deshis are fastest growing population in the world.Go to London,New York u will see a lot of B'deshi. Why you are blaming Kolkata?Remember Kolkata was capital of combined India, abusing Kolkata is like abusing your own Parents as it is the heritage. Also abusing Kolkata means abusing your future, your child as Kolkata is future of india. All western indian cities are at striking nuke range of pak including your dear delhi,mum,b'lore,chenn,hyd...pls remember this fact....

I think the article pointed out top 3 cities. May be Calcutta in line. I am in Mumbai and see lot of people from calcutta residing and working here. May be to compensate that population, people flow to calcutaa from other regions.

Job in Delhi
by KARTHIKEYAN PS on Sep 16, 2010 12:54 PM

Like friend told it was correct. But current situation is worst. No permanent / confirmed jobs are available. Most of the company get outsourced employement, where a candidate will get very mimum salary with no perks/benefits. If he continue, after retairement he will come back without any statutory benefits. Equal to daily wages. But 15 - 20 years back, somehow life was good in Delhi. Also cost of living is high nowadays.
