It is good that the Government is doing something useful instead of the usual misgovernance, nepotism and whatnot.

From the stories that Rediff has published about innovators, it is seen that all of them have been helped by the NIC. This augurs well for the innovators and the country in general.

The comments about Pitroda are not really relevant as long as the NIC does its job well. At least he is not tainted, unlike the other appointments made by this Government, be it the President, CEC or CVC.

What Kind of innovation Sam Pitroda has done?
by hiral joshi on Sep 11, 2010 03:03 AM  | Hide replies

To head an innovation council, I dont know how much eligible Mr. Pitroda is? I really couldnt find info about innovations he made nor his patents. I hope they have other 15 candidates capable of judging the innovation and novelty in inventions. Because since govt spends so much of money there is hardly and ground breaking innovation to Indian's credit.

u are right. Pitroda is given the post just because he is a US citizen of Indian origin, and Indians have a habit of being in awe of US.

Appreciate the govt's move in rewarding the innovators. Truly, it would be the path breaking innovations that can change the course of a country from poor to developing to developed.
I sincerely pray that this motivates people to have their thought process rolling and bring in more innovation in every walk of human life and also this money goes into the right hands.
