Don’t underestimate USA contd...
by venkat murthy on Sep 03, 2010 12:25 AM  | Hide replies

...contd :

friendly countries.
- Now they fight with minimum army movement on ground., minimizing the human losses. Eg. Iraq and Afkanistan wars were fought mostly by bombing from air and firing missiles of all ranges accurately on targets causing heavy damage to the enemy.
-
Education :
-US holds some of the best universities which are sought by brilliant students all over the world.
- R&D is one of the best especially in Science, Engineering , Medical and Space technology.

Politics :

In spite of only around 400 years of history, the political policy to invite the best in every field from different countries, give them freedom and bring the best in the respective line.

Allow uninhibited constructive critism on anybody so that there is improvement.
-      Strong leaders like Washington, Lincoln, Roosevelt , Kennedy to name a few; An example is the vow Kennedy took and landed the first man on Moon in 1969 when USSR led in space research at that time.
One last word :

If India followed USA right from Independence, it would have been a super power like Japan, Israel by now instead of Socialism which was abandoned by the same Indira

Venkat murthy you do realized how flawed your first statement is?
-----

Just because technology can be perfect or even almost perfect doesn't mean it's not killing it's own soldiers. Humans are flawed and that flawed effect hurts people.

Many U.S. soldiers and other soldiers that are the allies have died this way not just in this war. Pat tillmen didn't die this way, but he died to a gun from the allied side. Many soldiers have died from miscalculations of where to drop their bombs. It happens and it's part of war, but to say it's accurately on targets is a miscalculation on your part.

If you've never been a foot soldier you won't ever understand the wars. Only foot soldiers can really grasp war while the others sit and watch most of the time, but soldiers CAN'T have a voice most of the time as it goes against their work. They need the people to realize this.

Even though I'm military I can't grasp it because I've never fought a gun fight. Only my brother in law can grasp it.

High accuracy of 99% doesn't mean it's high accuracy on the enemies it means it hit where it was supposed to hit and if the human messes up it hits allied soldiers.

Venkat Murthy you have made a key statement in 2 paras "if war erupts".

US is a superpower in this unipolar world but it is (was) at the peak. The days ahead are of slow decline. Of course its not USSR that will be run down in a day but other power centers such as China and India will emerge.

"If there is no war" , India and China with their growth rates will be superpowers by 2050. I want to live to see that day :)

Don’t underestimate USA

Economy:
- Dollar value is low but point one alternative currency to US dollar; Remember one main reason to remove Saddam when he attempted
- USA has so much of untapped oil under them ; even if the world lost all oil in another say 25 years ; they will have oil.
- It bought Alaska from USSR which contains minerals of very high value.
- Came out successfully recession in 30’s which is one the worst in the history.
- Ensure their guns, arsenal, military aircraft, ships , missiles have always business in developing countries by creating feud between them.
- Big businesses have been always heavily supported in spite of their unethical, inhuman practice, dwindling resources of other countries by the US government. Eg. Bailing the recent fraudulent banks , promoting Cola, Pepsi , Boeing etc.
- USA has many tricks up the arms like untapped minerals, oils, gold , nuclear fuel etc which will be released as the need arises.
- Cleverly used the divide and rule policy throughout the world - India- Pakistan, Gulf,
Africa, South America to name only a few.
- Relentless printing of dollar notes like toilet tissues now diminishes dollar value as of now. When the above policies are implemented, the other currencies go down and naturally dollar will go up.

Might :

- US has submarines and bases throughout the world, in case a world war erupts, it can bring warships and arms to their bases which are built near their

WHY GETTING INTO IT AND THEN BOUNCE BACK?

It that really required, with such great economists and think-tankers' predictions, can the nation avoid it? what they will prove by getting into it and then bounce back? how much loss it incurs during this timespan? how many would become jobless and homeless and lifeless during this time? they need a good leader and it's become a tough task to find one at least for the next decade...

The problem with the US is that it does not have a PhD in Economics as their leader like we do.

Knowing Economics jargon and how to manipulate fancy statistics is very important in showing that the recession is over and your country is growing at a phenomenal rate of 90000%!
