Industrialization
by Govind Lal on Oct 26, 2010 11:09 AM

US started thinking about re-industrialization. Read article "19 Surprising Facts About the Deindustrialization of America". Look at the way we here think. Industrialization in the global phenomena require low UNIT COST which warrant low labour and material cost. But our planners are thinking about ways to increase both. Look at the cost index variation for the last 40 years. Will it not affect the unit cost? Very soon we will reach a point when our products will not be competitive. The planners and politicians who created this perilous condition will not be here to answer. Look at the way salary of MPs, MLAs and employees are enhanced. Dont they think that these increases will affect the UNIT COST. These increases are just BRIBES for keeping them silent over the various decisions which torpedo our efforts for self sufficiency, independence and sovereignty. More over several confusions (maoists, terrorists, religious fundamentalists, J&K, CWG just a few) are created within India to keep the mouth of media engaged. All political leaders who love India should sit quite and think of ways to industrialize India and to stop this craze for perestroika and glasnost. P&G is a path to erase India from the world map. We need leaders who can inspire people. Corrupt men cannot inspire the people. Words from corrupt will have the foul smell which will not inspire people. Corruption will not go with industrialization.

US need to convince India that it is trustworthy
by Ramadas on Oct 26, 2010 10:50 AM

The peoples of US and India will benefit if both both governments can be truthful to each other. But this is not possible as long as US carry on financing and arming the rogues in Pakistan. To convince India, US has to remove Pakistan's offensive capability and then remove its tentacles in Afghanistan. The US must realise that nobody is interested in swallowing Pakistan; it is not worth it; it is in such a rotten state. All it needs is a big police force to take care of its internal problems.

HURTS U ,S MORE THAN INDIA
by chandrashekar nayak on Oct 26, 2010 10:42 AM

Protectionist policies of Obama Administartion hurts the business interest of U S Companies more than Indian I T Service Prividers. If U S Companies have to be comprtitive globally, they will have to cut costs significantly and only way to do that is to outsourcs the work to Indian Companies, which are providing world class services at a phenominally low cost compared to other nations. About 45% of Indian population is young,english-speaking and ready to work 10-12 hrs on 6 days a week.U S Companies can not afford to stop outsourcing, even if U S Govt withdraws Tax benefits.Obama Administration has again started rhetoric about ban on outsourcing,as State Elections are due in 2-3 months time. This kind of rhetoric is just like BJP's Ram Mandhir Card during Elections. We Indians need not take Obama's Outsourcing ban threats seriously.Once State Elections get over, the drama comes to an end, atleat till Dec 2012 when presidential Election is to be held.

yes! after CWG, this will be best oppurtunity, buy useless and expensive "defence" weapons. US can dump there "technology" ( which can be developed by us), get kickbacks and put the equipment somewhere. Ultimately US will then cut outsourcing ( Americas interest is the euphemism, which is blatant selfishness but no one has the guts to say so) and India will be left high and dry. Anywhere Americans go leaves a trail of disaster - Afghan, Iraq, Pakistan, Vietnam...
Beware, last chance for India to develop ones own potential than wait for handouts from US
