It is really great to see somebody think like Edison. The Central/State Govt should support their marketing of such machines and to the inventors must grant diploma/degree s of engineering. The patent on the product must be given to the inventors and innovations must be awarded
people who love and are involved with others like to improve and help their own, their surrounding, near and dear ones, do the study, improvise, initiate new methods, efficient process, substitue imports, reduce the cost, suggest improvements. if uone does not loves his work family, colleagues, subordinates, organisation, profession, wotk ends up as dud.
This is were I support subsidy. In this age where weavers are facing starvation and poverty , inventions like these can give a new life to these hard working people. The government can subsidize and support a co operative run by the weavers to sell these sari's than cheap chinese exports.

It usually does, Mathew. How aware are you of the present schemes. Also please go through the National Innovation Organisation website and also learn more about the Bee Network to understand more.
It is very well to be indignant, but not fine to be critical without understanding the changes that have come about in the last few years.
The less cynics and more supporters such initiatives have will ensure a smooth and sustained growth pattern for rural india.

The asu machine innovation is around for the last seven years. Two CMs, many Handloom comissioners, and innumerable politicians saw the machine and did nothing. The drudgery of the women continues. Govt failed to be sensitive to this problem. Govt can not be expected to do everything. We all must respond. They need 5000 asu machines. Let us all contribute one per head @ Rs 15000 (USD 350) per piece. Let Mallesham handle the supply of machines and all of us support him in this task. Brig Ganesham
Why school drop out do wonder. Reason is that there is no school of creativity. School make us a descipline one. Teach how you became a good worker by following the command pressing by the others.A followrs not a creative one, teacher teach us means they are not programmed to learn from the students...

A great case study. NIF highlighted the story of Mallesham and thus recognised by awarding Best grassroots innvation in the country in 2009. Brig Ganesham
It is really heartening to see ur invention which will earn u the appaulse from thousands of weavers not only in Andhra Pradesh but all over India. It futile to depend upon these corrupt politicians for any sort of support.APPNA HATH JAGANNATH should be ur slogan,I am sure many good hearted people wiil come forward and ur efforts will not go in vain.My best wishes to u.
congrats Mallesham, you made your mother and supporters proud. the other thing you have done is to endear yourself to all of us, distant people. I salute your efforts and wish i could have at least a percentage of the spirit you have. may your success inspire similar stories.

Telengana, Andhra leaders, and beauracrats failed. Central silk Board (not Karnataka board) agreed to subsidize only 50 machines after two years of consistent effort. You are right. KCR does't even know that asu machine can remove drudgery of the women of 33000 families of Telengana. Don't blame them. They are busy in creating states, not worried about the people's difficulties.. Brig P Ganesham
