yeah so whats the point? Should Google take that blame and strip off all good things for their employees because "in some part of the world children dont have clothes"? In fact, Google folks have been known to be very generous in contributing to many emerging countries where their own people don't care for them.

Also, having these types of offices is not about "filthy rich" its about work culture. There are plenty of other companies that are cash rich but they don't believe in giving their employees freedom at work. Infact, Verizon - one of the top telecom companies in US, makes people work from their conference rooms. Imagine 15 people working from one conference room next to each other and share just one phone.

Nice to work in an office like this, knowing that the company really cares for you.

But if you start enjoying too much, then you will be marked for retrenchment when recession strikes.

Why dont people simply work 9 to 6 and GO HOME AND ENJOY - Why stay in Office 12 hours a day, and then neither work properly NOR play properly.

DO ONE THING ONLY

these basically are rebels who would burn their homes to create new houses..then try to turn these houses to become their homes..sadly reality gets to their heads only when they are handed their pink slips..home away from home will never ever be ur home..its only urs till u give them ur bluud..once ur dry they will get u substituted..all these call centers, bpo's are wrecking our entire system, families, homes.cultures and eroding the social concepts..u wouldnt be surprised to find ur next door kid co-cohabiting with an cross culture lady just for the sake of this work culture..this is the cost of home away from home..

these are bribes to get one addicted to workplace and to make one stay at office longer..

moreover, these will be eye candies, the work load will be so stressful that you wouldn't have time to enjoy it.

Most of companies in US are like this
by Steve Andrews on Oct 15, 2010 06:25 PM

Most of the good companies are like these, except these extra things like Massage parlours, bringing dog to office. These are kind of distractors in work. Nobody stops you from bringing decorations and toys, if you want you can bring those in. But all of this creates mess more.
