Us is doing the same, China is actually more loose on the policy. In US, there is none of police cars has a foreign band, let alone is made outside of US.
China is one of the powerhuses in telecom industry, not a follower. China's TD-SCDMA was one of the international industry standards for 3G wireless, CHina's TD-LTE is a 4G wireless standard that wins shares rapidly in the international market. Chinese answers security loopholes in 802.11 WIFI standards with WAPI. CISCO and MOT sue Huawei for IP only because they want to block Chinese telecom equipments into US. Otherwise, why don't they go to Europe to sue Chinese companies? Huawei's sales will reach US$300 billion, very close to Cisco. MOT is now a small player comparing with Huawei,.
China has long history in engineering. Forget about the Great Waslls, The Grand Canal.... China was a country that built more than 30000 KM of railways in the less than 30 years between 1950-1978 when China was still weak. China was able to construct Gezhouba Dam on the mighty yangtse river and nuclear submarines more than 30 years ago. These two projects can stand for China's enginering and industry capability at that time.
China is happy without India's dummy democracy and casteism. And people in India are brainwashed to believe that voting in elections is democracy and a solution to all problems.
According to BBC 80% Indians are living under 20 rupees per day. Do these people vote in elections based on their conscience?
I know why india was so pathetic for their CWG preparation. Because india has so many pathetic people like most commentators here. They think Chinese do not have freedom and indian are free. Yes, Chinese have no freedom to build a bridge collapsing, they do not allowed to do such pathetic job. They have discipline. Indian have freedom to be lazy, to be dirty and free to do shabby job, free to self boasting, free release on side of road and public areas like stations and parks. Keep your freedom and keep you dirty poor.

CWG is a debacle,because there are no spectators at all.what a shame????????? didnt we know that till now??
I am NRI based in Far East for over 20 plus years, stayed in Japan, korea, Taiwan, China, visited over 1000's of manufacturing units. China became a manufacturing power house because of Cheap Capital n Cheap labor, now China labor is more expensive than India, Vietnam, Indonesia etc but Capital is still cheap compared to other underdeveloped countries, the higher labor charges now in China, which can be offset to a certain extent, by the cheaper capital costs, for many type of industries. Already some products previously made in china, now being made in Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia etc., China works on very low margins, their volumes are very high, India can never work on such low margins, when the cost of borrowing is over 10%. Nobody will bother manufacturing or be able to sell profitably products with net profit of just abt 3%-4%. India govt should have a plan to provide cheap finance for certain industries (just like china did 20 years back)India consumer market is huge, skilled n unskilled labor is plenty, just lack infrastructure, electricity, water & reasonable borrowing rates, to make manufacturing practical for many products.
