This guy first of all is not even fit to have sat on this post, he is the most corrupt minister , and his past records are a proof for it, but then we have also to see that he was just a puppet in the hands of the BIg money monger karunanidhi, am sure raja would have ended up with peanuts compared to what karunanidhi has take it away from him, and our great singh who also wanted to save his chair danced to their tunes.

quite interesting: Ex Maha CM says he has not done any wrong on a/c of Adarsh, Mr Kalmadi says he has not done any wrong and he will sue Times now, and now Mr A Raja too says he has done no wrong. UPA ministers seem to be reciting same statements as parrot does.

Govt. will take action for sure
by MB Sivaramakrishnan on Nov 16, 2010 06:07 PM  | Hide replies

I am sure the Govt. will not stop the investigation at this stage. The TN elections are just 6 months away and Cong willing be more than willing to intimidate DMK with this case, if the latter don't listen to Congress. Cong always have the option of aligning with ADMK. In case, they are bunked by ADMK, Cong can again take favours DMK and drop this case then. Till such time the Spectrum scam will remain as a bait for Congress to up its ante against DMK.

This govt. under Foreigner is full of scams and filth
by vijaya kumar on Nov 16, 2010 06:07 PM

How come unelected P.M. of India take action without green light from again unconstitutional head of the Goverment born in Italy. The scam starts with Karunanidhi family, Raja and Rani and ends up into 10 Jan Janpath and Race Course. This Goverment under the leadership of Foreigner is full of Scams and Filth. The part played by Manmohan is now suspect. He should gracefully go before the Indian public humilate him for protecting this " Dynasty " .The Court has seized of two petitions - by centre for Public interest Litigation ( CPIL ) and Janata Party leader Dr. Subramanian Swamy . I admire Dr. Swamy and ask reader to visit site with vedios on Sonia and Rahul on You Tube. It is high time Patriotic people of India sees this and find out about this two cretins duffers distroying Bharat . Find out the truth about what another half in Italy is up to conniving with this duo in India. Dr. Swamy has challeged Sonia to take him in the court but no action which proves she is fully guilty of henious crimes. VISIT THE SITE, TO-DAY

Raja paid price for being a Dalit
by Vivek Dev on Nov 16, 2010 06:06 PM  | Hide replies

Raja was easy target because he is a Dalit. Had be been a caste Hindu, the cunning caste HIndu media would have made some noises and forgotten the scam and he would have continued merrily. If he had been Christian the Christian dispensation would have taken care of him very well indeed. And of course if he had been Muslim nobody would have dared to accuse him of any wrong doing. The secular INdian media would have found some way or the other to deflect blame or to rationalise the scam. Caste Hindus have perpetrated zillions of scams in the last 60 years and none has paid the price. India is a horribly caste racist society. The backward classes should understand the game of the oppressors.

Don't be ridiculous.Do you feel that one is licensed to do anything if he belongs to a particular caste or religion.Unless all Indians are treated alike, the country will never progress. There should be nothing free for anyone, they have to earn it with effort and merit.

They need to be deported to Andhamans
by Gautam nil on Nov 16, 2010 06:01 PM  | Hide replies

The P.M., Finance Ministers and Sonia Gandhi are certainly intellectuals who don't need an advise to act promptly and instantaneously at the first doubts or information of sustained huge crimes of scams of each of world record breaking multiple crores. But they conduct raids, after so long, perhaps, after allowing adequate time for the suspects to manipulate records and shift money etc., so that enquiry authorities and courts could close the cases once for all, due to lack of adequate evidence against the suspects!
People of India need to know 1) Total number of scams, 2) Total revenue loss and 3) the total amount of public money lost in various scams during the last 10 years. How is that, so called eminent economists could not prevent such huge loots of the nation for years together? Are they book worms?
When a bank is looted in presence of a manager, Is he not instantaneously booked?
The silent spectator of a crime like a theft is also a criminal.
Are they not entirely responsible for colossal revenue loss of public money of this nation? Are they not the tallest criminals of this nation? Should they not be immediately placed under arrest to be deported to Andhamans to be placed in yet existing British cells?

Lapse on thinking!
by girish chander on Nov 16, 2010 05:59 PM

As a union cabinet minister and the head of Telecom, it is absolutely rubbish when he points out that all he did was follow guidelines set by TRAI. This is acceptable for any person below his office as a "getaway" statement, but him as a minister is also responsible to oversee and come up with the best possible solution to help the public and raise revenue for the Government. In saying that he had merely followed guidelines, he has wholly accepted the blame that he never rethought or evaluated options for the auction. Though he may not have direct authority on the TRAI, he can still put for his views and stall the auction until the better solution was come up with. In doing as he has, he has failed as a competent minister and caused massive loss to the state.
I wouldn't go to say he was corrupt. His strong statements and adamant poise in the recent days does signify that he may not have been corrupt but he will be guilty on the fact that he has caused such a massive loss
