Well,intervening on 'wages' is ok but more important and serious aspect of NREGA is the corruption angle increasing exponentially by the day.The case of the way the 'wage' audit by independent auditors was blocked jointly by Congress-BJP panchyat/politicians in Rajasthan is a clear case by the implementors to block cleanse the corruption in the system.Further, we are told wages have been paid in he names of individuals who are not even present--working in Gulf , we are told !Even payments have been made in the names of doctors and well off people !Shouldn't Sonia take steps to set the NREGA house in order to stop corruption and such pilferages as otherwise the entire NREGA scheme may get derailed. If this is how NREGA is to be implemented to line pockets of middlemen , then the scheme is not worth the effort.
