First they forced us to open our market so that they can sell their products, we did that and learned what they need and provided them with our resources at cheaper price.
Than they complained that we are taking their jobs away. So we need to buy more from them to make sure that jobs which came to us remain with us. Are we going to comply???
Lets see. Most of jobs that came to India have come from private firms which were looking ways to cut back their expenses. Government had no control over it. Most of US companies know that India is a huge market with stable economy so they can not let go such a huge pie just for the sake of being patriotic (They are capitalist, remember). The overall balance of transactions in pure dollar amount (that is comparison of how much India make from US and How much US makes from India) is still in favor of america. So no matter what they say or show, they can not hurt themselves.
We need to play some hard balls, which I am sure we played this time, to make our bid for UNSC permanent seat. We should value our own resources and should not bow down to west again. Remember they always came as sellers who are interested in trading with us, but we have made fool of ourselves in believing that that's their only agenda and let go our fences. This time we need to be more protective of our resources and need to control how they access it. Otherwise history will repeat itself.
The version of former President Mr.George W. Bush, disclosing that Mr.Mushraff scuttled action against the terrorists, is the fool-proof evidence that Pakistan is a terrorist state, and the Politicians or even the military establishment is not able to come out from the clutches of Terrorists. God save America, and Pakistan, and India won't care if they don't fall in line of truth.
India has to learn from other countries now as it has an excellent economy to deoend on to invest in Research, Development and Innovation of its own kind to create a market of its own rather depending on "big bully" US. This is what US has done throughout the world ranging from IT production to some other products. They will always play us as long as we come up with something of our own. Learning from Japan can be the start.
Typical American shrewdness shown by Ron Sommers. Its high time we learnt and not depend on the US for jobs. We have so much capital and such a strong economy that we must invest in research and innovation. All we do is do the donkey's burden for US. We must now start to learn from Japan, China, Korea and Europe to create our own market.
Americans have come to this sorry situation due to their excessive consumerist lifestyle as well as succumbing to vested interests and business lobbies who do not act always in the best interest of the US consumer
As a result of these lobbies and vested interests their society is racked with obesity and chronic diseases as well as each citizen is burdened with unnecessary overspending by the state due to these interests and lobbies
Just a few examples to prove my point: citizens can possess automatic firearms, junk foods pushed in schools making children obese, confusion created about healthy and unhealthy fats, carbohydrates etc, toxic and volatile chemicals used for domestic purposes, overall heavy carbon footprint by each individual
Unless Americans do not reform themselves, then all developing economies will follow their unhealthy habits and this world will become a mess

100% agree but if you dig deeper all this has to do with the depression arising out of actions starting from genocide of natives to making and using destructive weapons adding to it lot of unjustified wars being waged throughout its history.
After 2nd world war thoses countries supported or ally of USA like Japan, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, canada etc are now developed nation. And those supported or ally of USSR are still developing like India.

The countries you have mentioned may have developed materially in certain ways (even that gap is now narrowing significantly) but they are morally, socially and intellectually going bankrupt leading to a depressed population. Exception being Japan since they have preserved their traditions and culture significantly despite the pressure from western countries.
We ask them work so that we work for a cause, but now they are asking work as job creation is also outsourcing - there is no win-win situation here when it comes to dollars and rupees...we create their jobs for dollars and they will give work in cents...what a stratergy.....shame at their situation - this cleary shows what situation they have come up to....

India's 80% software export around $60 billion is to USA actually India is totally depends on USA for Softwar export earnings.. India 70% Gems,Jewellery,Cotton, pharmaceuticals, Electronic goods export is to USA.

So, what do you mean? earnings are based on demand and not on mercy. Trade is a two way dealing. I could safely say USA 'totally depends' on India for software solutions. But If I say this I would be only 1/2 true. It is merit not mercy that lifts the head of a person or a nation.

Like mentioned India is Not a export oreinted country and even if it is certains ways India needs to be more competetive and diversified . Depending on one Nation for exports can lead to blackmail in the long run.
