for you American Job matters more the the life of Indian Civlians - for simple reason majority we are Hindus.
let us talk about our concern. not USA's or china's. we buy a lot of sophesticated machinery, arms, defense equipments, aircraft, medicine and hospital equipmrnts, nuclear poewer systems etc. from USA. there should be way to pay it.
if we try manufacturing those items ,ourselves and succeed even partially, the imports from USA will come down. and the USA does not need the rice, wheat, cattle, simple machinery, etc. from us. they produce them and do it better than ourselves.
the business should provides benefit both ways. other way it is colonisation.
if USA imports items cheaper than the one in USA, it loses the manufacturing capacity and consequently the employment potential. it should evalute the pros and cons and decide.
if he ws so concernd abt jobs.. entire manufacturing sector is outsourced to china. plenty of jobless due to that in USA> just to enjoy cheap goods at walmart .. no one talks abt that..
Agriculture covers about 62 percent population in India and its economy depends on agriculture. Population explosion in the country have emense energy level to serve agriculture, as it is labour intensive sector. To make easier the labour, mechanization and delivery system must be stregnthened and mechanical energy can be used. If the us and India treaty focus to agriculture maximum population would be benefitted and would be remembered for long time.
YES ! NO BODY CAN DENY THAT .THE FACT IS ECONOMY DOES NOT GROW BY PROTECTING , INDIA HAS EXPERIMENTED PROTECTING THROUGH RESERVATIONS - RESULT TOTAL CORRUPTION AND THE LOT OF THE PEOPLE HAS NOT IMPROVED .So if you really want to protect US interest do not protect the job - create job ,get the economy on a roll - ultimately see what people want from various countries and produce those products and sell and satisfy the lot .People are not interested in war or terrorism .So your economy built on supplying war weapons will not last - because no one is interested in war two they can not fight wars with three geeration old weaponory you upply. Your support to Pakistan to fight terrorism is only aiding terrorism - wake up sid.
'Profit' is a double edged sword and comes with a price. The framework of profit needs to defined or redefined........the globalization effect has broken all set definitions. Under the globallization effect..........the mantra was to pursue highest profitability by 1. sourcing or outsourcing whereever it can be got or done at lower costs. 2. this was driven by a need to cut costs and this approach is a vortex that will suck everything out.
The focus of management of yesteryears was on improving efficiency rather than on 'mere cost cutting'..........
If US fails.........all countries that depend on the US for their economics.......they will also fail. If US succeeds at this point ... like by withdrawing outsourcing........then too countries like India will fail.
Is it fault of US or India? Sadly India is now crying foul!!. .......where are the IT giants of INdia..........do they support this 'you are not fair game' or are they looking at ways to move up the value chain? Why are the Indian ITs silent!

Nobody is "crying foul" for losing some Outsourced jobs mate... it is the "double tonguedness" of the US that people deplore.
On one hand Obama speaks of "protecting American jobs" and on the other hand he wants to have more "access to American companies" in India..!!
It was USA which literally bullied countries like India into globalisation for decades and when the cycle turned fully - it starts talking of "protecting Amecrican jobs"..! Typical American hypocrisy... isn't it??
Oh.. BTW - please come back to the present world - American failure is not world's failure any more ... in spite of American economy struggling to come back to normalcy - economies are moving on - courtesy new age economies like China, India..!!
