The Plastis are cheap the build quality is compromised to keep the cost low. This is a Problem with Logan but Vista's Quadrajet Engine is smoother (Same engine for Punto, Swift)

NO.. while Baajaj rikshas are tere they hold the copyright to look and drive like cockroaches looking out for mating in the drain pipes..so for now just hang in there!
Have you ever wondered why taxi operators choose a particular car as a taxi? Here is their requirements list: 1. Good mileage (i.e. running cost should be low) 2. Low maintenance cost and lower frequency of servicing 3. Robust car (should be strong enough to run even after minor bashes) 4. Spacious - should carry maximum passengers 5. Neat and clean looks (need not be head turner)
Now think about the requirements of a common man looking to buy a personal car.
You will surprised to note that his requirements will be matching to the extent of 90% of the above list. That means an ordinary car buyer is actually looking for an IDEAL TAXI for himself. Then why does he smirk saying 'X car looks like a taxi; I can't buy that'? Because he is mentally conditioned by (a) the celebs on TV saying Buy that dashing expensive foreign car (b) his family (read wife) saying buy that car which 'Y' celeb is sweet talking on TV (c) his ignorant peers / friends / colleagues saying 'I have bought Z car at W price'.
Then you start saying like 'Souvik Jana' "yes... I really dont like the look of the car.... It is so much Taxi look.... and even during test drive I feel as if I am actually driving a Taxi..."
FYI … the most popular taxi in Kathmandu (Nepal) is Toyota Corolla which is a D-segment luxury car in India.
Best wishes ... to those who want to practice "IGNORANCE is B

For the other side of the view, Feel the anxiety you are put in case of Stoppages in highway. See how you are looked like a primitive life form by Service folks.
Alas, Indians have crossed the stage "Lower cost - Come what may". Taxi drivers? Well, they do not expect more than the day's bata
Tata made a mistake of not discontinuing the older Indica when it lauched the Indica Vista. Nethier was it given a propper advert campian. This leads to confusion in the mind of the consumer. Most manufactures fail to discontinue the older model when the launch a new model like they do in the Other markets.

FYI ... Vista is currently not sold by the company for commercial usage. Cost cannot stop Taxi wallahs - many cab agencies use Mercs and Toyota Corollas for high end customers and Accent / Verna / Fiesta / Innova / Logan for servicing lower end customers.

Guys,

Low maintenance cost and lower frequency of servicing 3. Robust car (should be strong enough to run even after minor bashes) 4. Spacious - should carry maximum passengers 5. Then you start saying like 'Souvik Jana' "yes... I really dont like the look of the car.... It is so much Taxi look.... and even during test drive I feel as if I am actually driving a Taxi..."
FYI … the most popular taxi in Kathmandu (in neighbouring Nepal) is Toyota Corolla which is a D-segment luxury car in India.
Best wishes ... to those who want to practice "IGNORANCE is BLISS and WISDOM".

Ratha ...blah blah...
Sorry your name is too long for me to pronounce. But just to clarify, I did not ask anybody for any patriotic considerations in buying a car for personal use. So your comment is neither fit reading, nor ignoring as an idiotic one.
