India is a country of 1.2 billion megalomaniacs. Thats explains why they prefer cricket - they are good at a game played by 12 nations, of which 8 are sane enough to be called "cricket teams".

Thats explains why they post articles in competition to China, for a false sense of pride.

No one seems to notice how we just beat Africa this year in terms of maximum number of children going to sleep "hungry".

Indian politicians vs. British rulers? Getting scammed in crores and crores of rupees vs. British stealing a few diamonds.

Its a no brainer.

Paid news..misleading news
by om shanti on Nov 04, 2010 07:11 AM  | Hide replies

The actual fact is mentioned in the report itself "In Asia's top 10, PetroChina Co Ltd retains the top spot, while the China Petroleum & Chemical Corp comes in second, ousting CNOOC Ltd, which falls to sixth place. India's Reliance Industries moved from fourth to third, while ONGC rose from fifth to fourth," Platts said.

So it is a misleading news..no hate or love, truth be told !

the news is about ongc being no 1 in oil and gas exploration. what you are talking about is the rankings in refining and marketing.

No such thing. I just checked the data, CNOOC is only the third larget oil company. It produced more than 47 million tons of oil equivalent. PetroChina produced about 170 million tons of oil equivlent. SinoPec produced more than 55 million tons of oil equivlent.

ONGC's target for 2010-2011 is 27 million tons.

If goes refinery and processing, those Chinese companies are even bigger.

Do the author has a thing named brain?

In the article, it says:

"In Asia's top 10, PetroChina Co Ltd retains the top spot, while the China Petroleum & Chemical Corp comes in second, ousting CNOOC Ltd, which falls to sixth place. India's Reliance Industries moved from fourth to third, while ONGC rose from fifth to fourth," Platts said.

ALso, if you use your brain, China is a country that can produce 180 million tons of oil from domestic land and has much much more rights in outside, how can ONGC pips CNOOC.

We love our organisation and vision is to be a global leader in Oil exploration and Production.. I don't know about other PSU and Govt dept. but In ONGC you will find atlist 50% pepole works more then their duty times.dYXBh

If 50% of the people in ONGC work hard, that is great. In most PSUs, 10% work, 50% are neutral and 40% obstruct all work.

That is total wrong most of the performing org are PSUs only, becoz of them only country is steaming ahead. In most of the PSUs people work more than duty hours with very meagre wage and still they are proud and do their best. These are milking cows for GoI. WIth lots of restriction labour unions red tape from ministries, still PSUs achieve which no other else.
