Govt should wind up Airlines operations once for all.No point in keeping it going with a huge financial loss it is making and as if that is not enough, employees going on strike 12 times in a year on flimsy grounds. With recent aircrash in mangalore, not many passengers are keen to fly Maharaja because there is no guarantee that he will reach the destination in one piece.After mangalore crash, there have been atleast half a dozen instances of maharaja developing technical snag in the air. It took 72 hours for our Specialised team from DGCA to find Black Box from debris spread over just 500 mtrs!!. It would have taken atleast 25 yrs, had the aircraft crashed into the sea.Best option for the Govt is to shut down maharaja for ever and save money,precious life of passengers.
these strikes are going to be common in airi india - better avoid - let their planes go empty & government keep loosing money - then only they will do something about this burden called air india
Air India is doing bad. But is any body aware of the fact that Govt. putin taxpayers money into a projects where no private party venture initially, be it power, telecom, aviation, energy, heavy insustries etc. Blaming govt. organisations is easy. But anybody knew how much PSUs make profit. If you sqare off losses against profits of all PSUs combined then you find the profits are huge. Being responsible employer govt give more equal share to employees and pay them well. You can see the difference of salary between CEO and the lowest rung worker in a PSU is hardly 20 times. But in Private it is 1000 times. See the distribution of wealth. In private Rich becomes richer. Everybody worried why junior staff at AI or any other PSU are getting more than their counterpart in private. But have you ever compared the Middle & Top Mgt. in private getting Sky high package than Govt. It is just the socialist system of Govt. & PSU which share wealth almost in a decentralised way. Yes there are issues with PSUs in performance factor as it is more resistant to change than some Private Com. If you ever traveled in DTC Bus Delhi and in a Blue Line bus you can make out that DTC always/mostly in time and whether the bus is full or not it will run in schedule time. But Blue line will stand for long even some time 30 mins in a bus stop to take passengers if the bus is not full. In that situation I have seen people praying for DTC Bus to come which is a govt bus service.
