5 years of BJP was really great
by anirban bandyopadhyay on May 29, 2010 05:08 PM  | Hide replies

They did really really well. Now we understand.

Their level was much higher than common mass.

They were talking about only infrastructure and water connecting river. That directly does not give vote. But good for the nation.

Congress policies are always popularist policy.

Congress rule
1. Who created Bhindranwale?
2. Who was responsible for Nellie (Assam) massacre?
3. Who ordered the IPKF misadventure leading to death of over 1200 Indian soldiers in Sri Lanka?
4. Who opened the locks at Ram Janmabhoomi?
5. Who was responsible for the Bofors scam?
6. Why was Ottavio Quatrocchi never arrested?
7. Why did the Congress lose about half of Jammu & Kashmir’s land to Pakistan and China?
8. Why were intelligence reports regarding Chinese aggression in 1962 ignored by the Congress?
9. Why is the Government silent on recent Chinese incursions into India?
10. Who has played vote bank politics to allow 15-20 million Bangladeshi invaders into India?
11) Why did the Congress not try to get Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru released before signing Irwin Pact?
12) Why did Congress support the British Govt in 1942? Why did they allow another 5 years of slavery?
13) Why was the Indian army not allowed to flush out Pakistanis from Kashmir completely?
14) Why did Congress Govt embark on a foolish NAM crusade and later spit on it by voting against Iran?
15) Why did Congress not act along with US and others to curb Chinese aggression of Tibet?
16) Why are Sino-Indian war documents still secret?
17) Why did Congress return Lahore without asking for Kashmir in exchange at Tashkent? after 1965 indo -pak war
18) Why did the Congress impose emergency? in 1977
19) Why were those responsible for emergency atrocities never

Infrastructure - look what china is doing
by MANNEY on May 27, 2010 02:23 PM  | Hide replies

I am living in China since 18 years I speak, read, write chinese perfectly, the Indian govt is fooling public and not giving true facts, I urge media to be honest and expose about a major dam being built not 1000 miles away, but right inside Tibet - on the Yarlung Tsangpo river, this will be the world's biggest dam on the upper reaches of the Brahmaputra river as part of a huge expansion of hydopower in the Himalayas. Zhang Boting the deputy gerneral sec of china society for hyropoer engineering has confirmed this. Downstream nations India & Bangladeshwith access water & power from the river are in serious trouble. They are making a 38 Gigawatt hydropower plant - that would be more than half as big as the tree gorges dam with a capacity nearly half as large as the uk's national grid. Tapping the power of this river as it bends and plunges from the himalayan roof down towards the indian & bangladeshi flood plains has long been a dream of china, Tibets recources will be converted into china's economic adavantage. The exploitation of Brahmaputra is already underway china recently accounced plans to build 5 dams further upstream including a 500mw hydroplant at zangmu, which is under construction by the power utility huaneng (nasdaq listed chinese co) chinese govt has warned a delay would allow india to tap these resources and prompt major conflict "we should build a hydropower plant in Motuo as soon as possible because it it a

DISTORTED DEVELOPMENT
by anuradhakumari on May 27, 2010 11:01 AM  | Hide replies

I read a article that India WISHES to double its forest cover by 2020. But, how???? No body has answer (practically)? In the name of Urbanisation (giving more space to parking/ metro/ mono rail, malls, road widening etc.) --- trees are being cut rampantly... Who cares?? Cities are being expanded with addition of many new colonies, Nagars etc. without adequate green cover..... Cities have become CONCERETE JUNGLES. No massive, popular thrust on use of solar/ wind energy..... Must worst days are yet to come.....
QUALITY OF LIFE OF COMMON PEOPLE IS TO BE IMPROVED FIRST, then we can think of becoming super power. Common Indian has a RIGHT to live with self respect at first.
