Mobiles are no longer

Less likely... Mobile computing is different ball game its not like PC which is relatively less complex compared to Mobile space. In mobile computing market there won't be monopoly of a OS maker or operator or handset maker. Hence, Microsoft will be one of the low-key player the place it deserves. :)

microsoft is an abusive monopoly in the PC space. the moment they enter into any space and become a monopoly - then they stop innovating - example windows OS and IE browser. it took a mac OS to wake microsoft to make a better OS, the result being win7 after decades of useless lumbering OS versions.

they'd fare similarly in any other space. I'd rather see healthy competition as like in the cell phone space in india. no monopolies please. thank you.

If only people could have spend the "Microsoft-bashing" energy on something more productive, they could have ended that monopoly long back!

What a load of crap... do you guys even read news paper? That was a farce created by some sections of the media. Bill Gates clarified it the very next day.
