I care about them. Infact i care about every entrepreneur in India. They are the reason why there are jobs in India. They are the reason why economy is growing. Definitely they should be taken to task if they are taking the society for a ride. However this should be done in a pragmatic way. It is not reasonable to hate them because they are rich

"Speculator?"

As for the speculator, he is a temporary animal, has temporary opinions, is driven by fear and anxiety and generally cuts the very tree branch on which he sits. In markets such as these, the speculator meets a gory end. Finally, the speculator withers away ...!

The Fight
by AC on May 24, 2010 04:47 PM  | Hide replies

The entire fight (so called) was just to increase the price of gas. They had done a mistake by fixing the rate at USD 2.34. On the same rate RIL agreed to sell to NTPC. After the increase of the price at international level (w/o much increase in cost), the greed began. RIL could not go back at agreed price to NTPC so the brothers started fighting like dogs to have the attention from media and to make a ground to increase the price. All fell in prey as planned by them be it media, govt. or even judiciary to some extent.

Anil otherwise had no issue in accepting the price of USD 4.20 (ultimately public had to pay for higher cost of electricity) but his problem was why his brother should take the super profit of 50000 cr (as claimed by him in open ads). Now his brother must have thrown some flesh (few thousand crores) to him (thanks to mom), he is silent and happy. Last week the govt. increased the price of gas to USD 4.20, increasing the cost of power by Rs. 1.20 per unit, everyone – the government, politicians, Mukesh and Anil is now happy (Mukesh is infact very happy to have super profit every year).

Alas! THE PUBLIC AT LARGE ARE THE ULTIMATE LOOSERS. Our beloved PM does not want to see anything, though he does not forget to meet Sonia ji every week and he remains honest from the core of his heart.

MERA BHARAT MAHAAN.

Brother, i have two counter arguments for you. First of all if international gas price is USD4.20 then don't u think the customer ought to pay usd 4.20. Secoundly a lions share of this USD 4.20 goes back to government in terms of tax. This is not saying that ambani's are saints. They are in the business of making money and they are doing a good job of it. The government is in the business of monitoring or regulating them. If the gas prie charged is not a fair price then it is the government who has not done a good job. That means we have not done a good job of electing a good government. Why blame others for our mistakes. Why should we have a mind set of hating rich people. Before any one starts posting damaging personal remarks, let me tell u that i am not a rich man and neither i have any ancestral property.

Fron Newspaper reports we
learn that the price agreed was indeed $ 2.34
( the price agreed with NTPC ) but, Mukesh, it seems did not want to sell the Gas at this price...and allow Anil to make super profit...
( compared to international price )
Who says...Anil had " NO
ISSUES " paying $ 4.20..
????...
You claim as if you were inside THAT Board room - When these issues were thrashed out...!!!!...
PLEASE STOP MAKING TALL
CLAIMS....!!!!!
