Price rise
by subodh jain on May 20, 2010 02:33 PM  | Hide replies

There is only one way to block such price rise by the Govt. and agencies involved.
Every common man has to come forward and stop buying/ using/ availing any product, services for at least 3-4 days in a row.
e.g.stop buying CNG and use petrol till the prices are rolled back(start using 2 wheelers in place of cars. go in for solar lights and fans etc.
there has to be mass consumer resistance from the public only. these crooked Govt. agencies and politicians shall have to be made to learn that common man has also the guts to hit back.

Totally agree with you.
But who would give it a kick start? Who amongst us could influence that many people to adhere to what has been decided ie. a total Non-Cooperation Movement? We people have become too selfish .....

Inflation
by arungopal agarwal on May 20, 2010 02:24 PM

Incompetent leaders and old thinking bureacrats cannot curb inflation or solve any problem, they can only defer, or can take revenge, create division in society to meet their needs etc.,etc.,

There is no harm for increase rates but ensure 100% availability. In Punjab 6-8 hour power cut daily, so what will u do cheap electricity which not available in time.

nergy price rise
by Arunava Mukerji on May 20, 2010 02:22 PM  | Hide replies

It is the policy of the congress government to fuel inflation by administered price rise of energy and basic commodities . Only during NDA rule inflation was under tight control and people started feeling good . So long as congress party will be in control of central government, corruption and inflation will soar causing immense misery to the common people .

Is this our progress and the UPA's concern for the common man?
by Just Friends on May 20, 2010 02:22 PM  | Hide replies

Taxi fares in Mumbai were hiked last year. Autorickshaw fares are already a lot considering the manipulation that happens with the fare meters, it includes the new electronic meters for taxis too. I travel to my office in worli from Malad by a cab and since I work in a channel, I often get late and most of the cabbies really like to exploit us women in terms of money for long distances.
Worst are the prices of daily essentials viz food, soaps, toothpaste, etc. And the UPA gloats that they have fared better than BJP! Infact BJP were far much better and atleast took some steps in curtailing the prices, while the congress does nothing! They have always exploited Indian citizens to hoard their money in swiss accounts! This is getting ridiculous! How long do we have to suffer from inflation and exploitation in the name of progress?

As long as the UPA is at the centre, this will remain a distant dream! The corruption has increased by 20 times but no actions are being taken at all!

Like national bird, or national animal etc, national practice of India is corruption. It is in everyone's blood. 10 % of the nation takes and balance gives. Person who gives also is equaly to be blamed.

just like the nation gave her highly overpaid babus 6% increments and 6th pay commission so as to legaly pay K.B. to its own employees so that they are not tempted to seek "fees" from the citizens for the work they are supposed to do for their official pay

Well this can't be helped at least till UPA is there. corruption will not even come down by 00000.1%. Infact it makes the fair guys to act unfair. for instance, I (from chennai) park my car at the right place and without any hindrance to anybody. Once I parked in a side street thinking I should't block the main road. A cop saw that and tried to charge me saying it was creating traffic issue (it did unfortunately and I agree) and finally said don't park here - park in the shoulder of the main road. Then I did that someother day. After half an hour or 1 hr, when I came back, I found that I was booked for having parked my car in the mainroad. I tried explaining it to the cop but it went to his deaf ears and charged me. Now I just park where all the other's park - even if its in the middle of the road (for saying sake) and nobody will charge me or move my car. Thing these guys make good ppl also to get out of their principles.

Thanks to all the people who voted for the Congress. So much for the Congress' concern for the Aam Aadmi. This is sure to bring in additional inflationary pressures. Not that it matters to the Congress anyway. There are hardly any elections rightnow.

Yes, vote for Congress and keep alive Kasab and Guru so that more terrorists will be encouraged and they would come here again and again to attack us more.

Congress are not communal for 1984 Sikhs riots ? or what ?
