I brought Reliance Infrastructure at 2009 calendar year end for 1030 per share, it went upto 1140 and even Dalal Street Journal predicated 1260 as target. Now my total losses including other non-reliance shares are close to 30,000. The old adage that stocks should be invested in sound management companies has been proved again. Though I lost money, I can say that Mukesh Ambani may be ruthless but a good CEO for stock market. But again, how can you deny fair share to your own brother? He is shrewd enough to play the right cards from 2005 to make sure his company sky rockets while Anil is grounded.
Anil! Get out of it. Look beyond. You r cheated. Still forget. Build your industry without concessions from another industy. Dont waste your more precious time. I dont know whether Im reaching you.

Bada nalaaayak hai aur sudhranewala nahi hai.
Aur chhota naadan hai.
Lekin oose apni naadaaniyat se bahar nikalke reality ka samna karna padega.
He ought to have realized from day one that not only his elder brother, but the entire establishment will be against him.
He has to fight against all odds.
Anil's proximity to the enemies of the safed topi has cost him all this.
He failed to draw a clear line between the industry and the politics.
The politicians means the government. They are to be aimed at and tamed.
They must all wag their tails and be prepared to do "anything for you, Sir".
Senior learnt the technique from Dhirubhai.
It seems the junior will learn it the hard way.
However, he has to learn the damned art - sooner or later if he wants to please his shareholders whose trust is of supreme importance to any industrialist.
Supreme courts interpretaion of production sharing contract appears to be flawed. Production sharing contract can be at the time of production. In this kind of contract, goverment gets a share of produced gas/oil free of cost (Generally 45% or so), while the contractor retains the remaining as compensation for the investment done and the efforts put in by it to bring it out. To extend the production sharing contract beyond production, i.e up to it reaching the final consumer does appear to be logical.
The gas/oil is a national property till it is in the ground. However as it comes out, it becomes subject to production sharing contract. After the sharing gets done at the time of production, the part remaining with the contractor should become his property.
This aspect has not been brought out by any of the party during the discussions. This could have changed the dicision of the supreme court.

Hi, That is the correct interpretation. Once the Government got the share the Government does not have any say on the sharing of the rest which belongs to the contractor and any in house deal executed with in the contractors share no body has a say ....it is not a fair verdict.... don't mind Anil.....long way to go...good luck
the gas belongs to ambani family either the elder one or the younger one not the nation MR.Murali deora, nothing has changed and dont try to fool us by patriotic statements mr. minister.

dear sir, the gas/oil/underground hidden tresures belongs to indian government not individual people or corp. no matter who finds/explores it.
