Hi, The name of the institute is still IIT-Bombay. The address is mumbai. IITs decided to keep their names as it is when city names got changed. For example, the institute in chennai is called IIT-Madras. You can check the sites. I am telling coz I am ex-student of IITB. No hard feeling... :) regards

This is why many Youths are running abroad and getting settled in Australia, Canada, New Zeland forever to become a small businessman ( by studying , working and living there itself ). Atleast there is no regionalism, communalism or castism abroad -and if there is anything harmful then its only racism.

Thats why going abrod is not a Liability for India. it can be asset also.
De-Populating India is good for India's development internally as well as for gaining foreign exchange from these NRI's
It is abroad only where people from all across the world in general and Indians in particular with hardwork and dedication can progress due to the strict rules and regulations, corruption-free and nepotism-free environment prevailing in these countries helps to grow. In India, the whole country is slave to politicians-burocreates nexus and their family members. Merit, honesty, hardwork, dedication all these qualities have lost their meaning in Indian context. If some one has bestowed with such qualities, he should not waste time in India while waiting the things to improve but should take a break as early as possible to move abroad and then not only get all the good environment there but also get good recognition back in India also.

Mumbai and IIT- Mumbai are both good places, the presence of n-o-r-t-h i-n-d-i-a-n-s is making it bad, n-o-r-t-h i-n-d-i-a-n-s leave maharashtra

time spent in IIT Bombay = I can survive anything is a good comment, 1. First of all he must had sincerely worked hard & smartly planned his time & activity to clear IIT-JEE which is the first & The bigest survival. 2. Once selected in IIT-B his path is now achivable and clear, but as internal competition between students are high as all are intelligent and the syllabus of all IITs are one of the topmost even to pass the semester exams is an ardeous task, time plan is the key, he must had burned midnight oil many times and had to read & read & read... thick books/journals/programs/workshops etc... to clear his fundamentals & its applications to finally clear the semester exams - another survival every 6 months till 8 times. 3. The project work in the last semester is the biggest challange, its application your knowledge you learned... he must had survived it too in flying colours...
