Mukesh should be booked for fraud
by sanjay kumar on May 10, 2010 10:03 AM

If Mukesh was only a operator and had no authority for deciding the price of the gas than how did he sign the contract with RNRL and NTPC at $2.34 withour having a government consent. Was Mukesh confident enough that after wining the contract for NTPC at $2.34 he will get it approved from Petroleum ministry, which means the petroleum minstry is in his pocket and all the beurocrats are hand in gloves with Mukesh along with Petroleum minister. Mukesh has done a fraud with NTPC and with govt. of india and he should be convicted for this. Why the congress govt. which speaks so much of Corporate governance stood up against Mukesh for the charges of fraud and file a case against him for cheating NTPC. Where is Mr. Deora now, blowing the trumpet of patriotism.

I think the supreme court is right that the govt. has the right to fix the gas rate as it is the property of india. But what about the MOU signed by the 2 brothers Mukesh ambani must be fined for the MOU as who has given him the right to fix the gas price and signed MOU .Mukesh Ambani must be fined and must give the compensation to his brother Anil Ambani as he has signed and agreed to give the gas at the discounted rate . He must give the compensation to Anil ambani as He is making a cheat with is own Brother.

The MOU was hastily prepared and signed just to get rid of the younger one who failed to see the futility of both the duration and the rate. The older one, a very shrewd operator, signed on the dotted line knowing very well what the next step is. The MOU in a way was a huge fraud on the younger one. Today, even if he is prepared to pay The Charo Vis rate, they will ask him to erect the plant first. Further litigation and possible petition for revision cannot be ruled out unless Anil forgets the whole thing as if it was just a bad dream. He has now to make the further progress of ADAG as if he is the only son of his parents. He must write his brother off from his heart and from his mind - however painful it may be. Yes, it will be very painful. But for the sake of the ADAG shareholders, he has to act tough. Severe everything with the elder one if he wants happiness for himself and for his shareholders.

Let the senior pay for his own sins.
