Walk-in for Publicity or Publicity for Walk-in?
by mahesh on Mar 24, 2010 12:20 PM

IT is not surprise to see all these news and happenings in India. when it come to walk in advertisements from BIG IT companies like TCS,INFOSYS,WIRPO,CTS in times of India, other daily news paper. I hearted this news from one of my friends working for BIG IT giant in HR department says their company is conducting weekly walk ins just for publicity. to increase their status in the market. they send interview calls to each and every one and no matter which technology he works for. if there are 10 openings in all the technologies they send 1000 interview calls. we all know the chances of getting the job. some companies ask for 70 % aggregate in the education and some ask for 60 minimum, some companies will not ask any qualification other than just skill.

I request all the JOB SEEKER please make sure before going blindly for weekly walk ins. find out how many openings are actually there , what are the technologies, what is the qualification, what are the constraints. what is the chance of getting the job. how many people are coming for interview.

if the company require 100 resources within 5 days and then will take every one. qualification is not matter, knowledge is not matter. just to reach their target. if there 100 people available for 5 positions then there will conditions like 70%, should not change more than 2 companies.

what kind country we are in. this is shame to tell that we are developing and growing. TALIBAN is better than INDIA because it is know to every one th

Where does Google want to go? Alongwith freedom loving dissidents or follow the China gold-trail? It is about the move forward of technology, freedom and of Govt. control.

Google has been subjected to the ultimate humiliation of China 'crackers' trampling on its secure servers. Is Google brave enough to navigate the badlands, fight alongside the freedom loving community and help keep Cyberspace free?

when you are in Rome............

"When you are in Rome, do what Romans do".
This is as simple as it is. Google is just a Company but not a Saint; if Google wants to have its chinese operations, then, it should follow the rules/laws/regulations of China. Not sure why USA is making big issue out of Google. While Microsoft and Yahoo are running their business very successfully in China, why Google is crying? Its foolishness of USA Government in interfere in this Google issue. USA Government SHOULD NOT interfere, its between a Company and the Government of the country in which the company is operating. USA is nothing to do with this. USA never learnt lessons, its always interfering its nose in each and every corner of the world. China will never care about what USA is crying; China will continue to do what is good for thier country irrespective of what other country is saying. India has to learn this braveness instead of bowing down to USA and other Western countries.

It is true that the Chinese have had massive growth rates and have in the last decade moved many people from under the poverty line to the middle class. Practically speaking, the Communist party in China is doing the greatest service in the world to eliminate poverty.

The only thing you have to ask yourself is at what cost? Your entire argument is based on "China will continue to do what is good for their country". I am not so sure, this is good for their country.

Bottom lines are at the bottom of the things that matter eventually.

I understand where you are coming from and I have already acknowledged the great feat of the Communist Party of China lifting up hundreds of thousands of people up from poverty.

I would like for you to acknowledge at the same time that there are hundreds of thousands of people who suffer because of these practices. As for the google controversy, it affects not thousands but millions of people who lose sight of what the party is doing. Nobody in China will know if they ever turn dictatorial and start a genocide or do some such heinous crime which will be "censored". So to suggest Google is no saint because it opposes these practices is wrong! If you still disagree with this, I hope you end up in China and give up your Indian Citizenship.

their developements are REAL AND TRUE. Please go to China and see those developements in your own eyes. Western funded media are trying to ignitiate the negative feelings in our peoples (indians) mind about china. But truth is Chinese are NOT against Indians. There are so many Indians are doing business, working in China. If chinese are against indians, they will NOT allow even a single indian into their country. We (Indians) need to open our eyes instead of blindly following USA and western countries.
