Argueably, Ford's "Figo" is definitely a much superior engineered, crafted and far more sturdier car than all thoese japanese and korean cars.

DO NOT BUY CARS NOW.. RECESSION ISN''T YET OVER
by supernova on Mar 11, 2010 06:04 AM  | Hide replies

THESE AUTO ARTICLES AND THE HYPOE IS ALL ABOUT SELLING THE PRODUCT AT YOUR COST.

Who will pay the EMI.. who knowas what happens in the market next..? What one got to see is that we need stability in our living standards and watch out for next3-4 years.. Remember, the global economy has nt recovered fully and India is totally dependent on the Global economy... Auto companies are rushing into India primarily as they do not have any market lsewhere after recession... Watch out friends.. they are gonna make u fall into their trap.. selling outdatyed modesl repackaged as new and fail to provide service when it matters. Where were these companies and modesl in 2005-2008 when Indian economy was in boom? Why don't they launch some a globally new product in India? so what didnot sell elsewhere is being dumped in India as NEW..Good sales techniques but cheating on the indian masses.

y dont u ask the government of last 10-15 yrs..they will give u the reply y these cars were not launched when these were new...they will give u the answere why the customer have to shell out so much of money and is in EMI for so long years when the whole fkng world can buy these cars for so cheap. also ask the government why the consumer after buying the same car will be driving in the road full of pot holes.

After-sales services offered by these brands except Maruti and Hyundai are poor and dissatisfactory. Say eg. TATA-Fiat--; Fiat Palio stile spares are seldom available; if available, that are only at the specified TATA dealer and not in open market. Above all these cars are going to play havoc ie congestion on the pitiable Indian roads. I have seen people eating substandard food but buying four wheelers and paying EMIs. What a hell!

Indian Luxury
by Mathil Fernandes on Mar 10, 2010 06:25 PM  | Hide replies

It is really unfair when cars that are being sold elsewhere in the world as 'regular' cars are being touted as 'luxury' on Indian soil with vastly differential pricing and that too nearly half a decade after its global launch.
Why do these carmakers assume that just because we go crazy for a set of wheels, that we are immature enough to accept anything that's being dumped onto us that too at unfair price to the customer? Our markets may still be 'developing'... but we have also spread globally to realise enough!

For eg. the Honda Accord '09 where I currently am costs around INR 12.5 lacs. I suspect the price in mera Bharat mahan is a 'tad' bit more!

Its our great government charging the exorbitant Excise Duty that makes the cost 20% to 50% more.
