Hahah - Apple is for brainless people. My $1500 Win 7 PC beats the best apple PC hands down and my choices are almost limitless with a PC. The MAC still comes with a single-button mouse! And iPAD? I have been using a HP Tablet for last 4 years and it still works great. The only decent product they have is the iPhone ... and yet, you are stuck to their store and their apps. You cant get flash on iPhone and you cant even change the battery if it goes bad! And the IPOD is another big scam. This proves that this world has no dearth of gullible people that fall for fancy hype!
Indian IT majors like Infy, Wipro, TCS etc boast about their services, policies, vision and ideals. But the fact is that they don't have an identity or uniqueness of their own. They use the products developed by US companies like Microsoft, Apple, HP, Dell, Sony, Google etc. And the irony is that these companies use the IT professionals as coolies and make them slog for 12-14 hrs daily. And the pity thing is that these IT coolies feel like floating in air flaunting their wallets and creditcards like they are the kings of corporate India. Can someone say any world class product from Indian IT stable ? Don't say the crap things like Finacle, Flexcube, SQLGupta etc etc...

OK, I presume you are from Manufacturing or Finance or anything else other than IT. Can you name a single worldclass Indian brand in anything other than IT? When manufacturing folks do contract manufacturing for the Nikes & Nokias or GAP, that's world-class, when IT folks do the same it's being a coolie. At least Indian IT is competitive in the world IT, how many other industries can you name which are so? Indian IT cos changed the way IT consulting is done worldwide, just because Indian IT was unable to produce a blockbuster product like Windows or SAP or Google, doesn't undermine what they already achieved. From a reputation of a land of snake charmers to a land of software programmers is our current reputation. Get a life dude, not every day one can produce a Microsoft or a Google. It would be a while before one such co emerges from India. Till then, I'm equally proud of Infosys or Reliance or Tata.

Theres nothing competitive in Indian IT as the whole concept is based around ctrl V/ctrl C with base ideas still created in the west.U cant find an efficient IT coolie for so cheap in western countries, where they have a life unlike the sweatshop workers from india, have u seen any indian car marketed to western countries, the main reason being they fail to meet the high safety standards set by the concerned regulatory bodies, also indian ethics of business and for that matter even the chinese ethics are condemned through out most of the western world which is to just go for cheap and maximise profits

Don't compare manufacturing with IT field. IT sector by itself is a globally connected environment. But even manufacturing sector is no better. Whether it is a computer monitor, keyboard or the telephone box on our desk, we use all foreign brands. Even in boardroom meetings we speak English. Why not speak our national language Hindi or local language. But look at China or Japan. They speak their own local language even in boardrooms. They have their own customised keyboards. See the way China is flooding the market with cheap manufacturing products though they are of substandard quality. Do you know most of these IT professionals in India take pride in working for only foreign clients. They feel inferior if the customer is some Indian company like Indian Railway, Indian Airlines, SBI, NABARD etc. The bottomline is we always try to ape western countries whether it is lifestyle or occupation and we don't risk to go for our own uniqueness or innovation.

Tata Nano is a bigger Indian brand. Everyone in world knows Tata for Nano and taking over Jaguar and land Rover... Convinced?

Am pretty sure people from developed countries wud feel a lot comfortable and safer on their own home made push bikes than an indian nano and fyi the core design ,modelling and development team of JLR are still british and not cheap indians.i dont think ratan tata will ever take that big risk of putting indians in charge of those positions as he knows they are not designing bananas and he wouldnt risk it for the 3.5 bn dollar purchase which is still trying to break even

You are right. I dont know much about IT, Software,Indian,Top Programmers, hot mail, shares in many International corporation, supported ba an Indian, IITians, etc. This the brain mapping whenever ony one thik about software world platform. Let me tell you clearly. I dont know how much do they earn abroad. But I live in Germany and know that a Garbage remover earns better off then, HP carrier collie.
people laugh at them whnen ever they see an Idian carring a Laptop on his shoulder.
THEIR ATTAIRE AND PRESENTATION IS AN INFINITY ZEERO.
Because in Germany if you are working more than five years, for the same company , Then the peole have one thing in mind that you are a DUFFER, thats why you are there.
Indian Software Giants are known the number ONE. But till today theyhave never ever developed anything for the world market.
As you said,Google HP IBM NITENDO or anything. Please dont insult them with the term COolies but they are elite servants of the world what I think.

I agree with you guys. But the fact is that most of these people working in developing new gadgets, softwares etc are actually of Indian Origin. So i do not understand why we cannot do it in our own country. Countries like UK, US and other so called developed countries - in future will survive only on Royalty - or licensing in technical work. HP - for example will produce a technolgy and then go to China or India to do mass production. Indian companies would earn few dollars as profit sharing, but the brand and the majority of money will go back to HP in UK Or US.Effectively they will then do nothing , but keep earning profits. Its time that Indian companies register themselves as a brand other than being only service provider.

Indian IT companies are in IT services sector just like their counter parts in western world like Accenture. EDS or Capgemini. I live much closer to you in a nordic country and here people respect every job..guess its pretty much the same situation in Germany as well...maybe its ur inferiority complex that makes u laugh at an Indian carrying laptop.....

Fine, there may be some truth in your statement. Tell the fact - if your son or daughter or brother is getting a nice job in INFY or WIPRO or HCL with fat salary... will you stop them from joining? Better you grow up Dhanurkant!!

Sharif bhai..you seem to be a frog in well. Come out of it and explore the world. It's not Infy or Wipro or HCL companies feeding the population. There are many other ways of earning fortunes.

No.. i will never let my kin work as a slave under someone, and that too under a foreign boss. I am sure they will setup their own business or inherit my Real estate business.

"My Real Estate Business"! You would have been selling bananas if it was not for the IT boom!
Go ahead ridicule those poor IT people toiling day night to earn a good living and lose their life in return. But do not forget that it was those hard earned foreign exchange that made India stand up on its feet. It was those 'coolies' that enabled TATA to buy Jaguar.
We entered IT later than most other competitors and were just apprentices in the international IT shop. Now we are at a stage when we can make things on our own. Now we have Indians behind many innovative concepts but they work from outside India. (Search bloombox energy for example). Very soon we will have our own products.
If you should complain about IT, complain about how Agriculture was ignored while we were focussing on IT. Agriculture should have been given equal importance as IT.
And finally, if any business is useless for our country, it's the Real Estate. Those goons and mafias use a totally unproductive business to jack up the prices and rob the citizens.
Now Mr. Dhanurkant, tell us about the innovations that you have done in your field of business. Let's hope your ideas will make the next Donald Trump an Indian!

"Your Real Estate Business"! You would have been selling bananas if it was not for IT!
It's pretty dumb for a true businesman to ridicule any sector (and worse, ridicule the people toiling for the valuable foreign exchange). While its true that Indian IT hasn't produced many products so far. We have been servicing multinationals. We were just apprentices in the IT shop as we got into IT very late. But we will soon be in a position to start some thing on our own. We are poised to enter that stage.
Not just in IT, we didn't work on developing any technology in any field. We were not trained to follow a leader or work as a part of a team. We celebrated our freedom by assasinating our own leader! Now people like you make fun of the very same people who enabled Tata to buy Jaguar. One of our problem is that we have too many people like you.
Tell me one thing Mr. Danurkant, have you ever done any thing unique in your Real Estate business? Have you ever tried to improvise your way of functioning? Or were you just buying/selling and making profit? The same thing your father did? And his father, and his father, and his father...

LOOK AT SLIDE 4 BEFORE YOU SAY IT'S ZUNE! PLEASE!!!
in the year 2008 satyam computers at hyderabad terminated large number of its technical staff stating that the product for which they use to work and the company is closing down soon and therefore they dont require the staff. Believe me they stated the company name as"VERIZON".
