How come TVM in the list?
by Santhosh on Mar 08, 2010 08:26 AM  | Hide replies

I cannot belive this in my life, TVM is 4th in the list. What is there in TVM other than a technopark? There is no private IT parks in TVM till now.. every other day is a hartal day in TVM. Most of them always talk about politics.
I think a TVM journalist might have prepared this article.

Happy to see Trivandrum in the list. Technopark is the first IT Park in India, though other parks went far ahead in the first few years due to the political scenario in Kerala. But things have changed reasonably well (positively) and hartals and strikes have not impacted much to the IT development of the state. The credit for this change should go to the youth, who were always ready to take risk by travelling and working on hartal/strike days. The youth includes everyone who came to Trivandrum from different states. Well done guys. To the guys who think Trivandrum means hartals and unions - it was the case, but things have changed - and thousands of youngsters all around India are working currently in Kerals for companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro etc. Also remember, with just one park Trivandrum has reached Number 4.

Truth is Kannadigas are the true innovators of IT in india. They have a state flag, a classical language. IT jobs should be reserved for Kannadiga locals.

Incapability or ineligibility should not be mapped to the term 'reservation'. Be competitive and fight to win, dont rely on such reservations to rule your life

Top three
by Ravi Shankar on Mar 07, 2010 06:55 PM  | Hide replies

Top Innovations Hubs
Bangalore
Pune
NCR

maybe Hyderabad
Others are just copying what the top three are doing. They have no idea of any new innovation. So any breakthrough will come from top three. Since IT is knowledge industry ,only who is in top will survive others will make when sun shines. If bad times comes the first to close shop will be in the others rather than top three

Absurd list

Check out Technopark website - it is a govt run tech park started in 1995 and is still the only tech park in Trivandrum even in 2010. In total there are just 25000 people there in past 15 years, and it is put inside top 10 !! As many people said here it is a joke - a poor joke rather ! The total IT exports from Trivandrum is some Rs 1300 crore and whole of Kerala is about Rs 2200 cr. So in 15 years this is how an IT hub grows he he ...

TCS not paying designated salary to promoted employees
by Tarun Khetarpal on Mar 07, 2010 09:22 AM

TCS is fooling its employees. the employees promoted last year are still waiting for their salary hike. There are just hoping to atleast get the salary of there promoted designation which is due from last year. Its so miserable for employees to work under such condition. How come company like TCS keep the dues of there employees and then shows the profit to the world. This is true story as I am one of the sufferer.
