As we know that one can use technology for sake of society and other one for against, then it is always a good solution to have a barrier for use of any technology for everyone. Google is withdrawing from China but they should think about rest countries as everywhere different kinds of people are available.
China is more autocratic than other countries in imposing censorship. Google Earth is one phenomena that most countries cannot digest ! You can even read the markings on a tank or weapon on land by just zooming in with Google Earth. Why bother about weapons and security only !. Even the colour of your undergarments hung out to dry in the sun can be seen. This much for Privacy ! Of the Individual as well as Government ! With such a powerful being in place in China, the Chinese leaders were always uncomfortable with GOOGLE ! But the crux of the matter is that, proxies, appointed by the Chinese Government hacked on to Google, to access private information of Individuals and institutions which they considered as harmful to China's interests. Now, this is hardly surprising ! Also Chinese could be censored if Google is shackled up. This has led to the altercation and Google's threat to get out of China ! Ultimately, it is the Chinese common man who will be deprived of Google ! Govt. will find other means to carry on what they want to do !
Chinese are world renown copiers... They highly lack the intent of carving what is called originality. They should be abandoned from world wide web till strictly stop doing such nonsense
