Shameless
by Manoj Dev on Jul 03, 2010 01:19 PM

While 90% of population languishes under severe price strain every day, a minister makes such a statement - Indian politicians have crossed any boundary of shamelesness. And if a different Govt. comes, the situation and handlings would remain the same.
Would have appeciated if the minister could give out the truth - "some state elections are coming, we politicians need money".

When people of India re-elect a failed Govt and give it more powers, it will take it for granted.

Its now wide open that the decontroling of Fuel prices has happened to benefit Mukesh Ambani who is planning to reopen its petrol pumps and add 10000 more in India.

Will rise more and then ? We will get use to it :-(
by Rajeev Rumale on Jun 30, 2010 10:14 AM

With things changing so fast, we see govt adding more taxes, reducing subsidy burden.

Note that with every increase in price rise, govt earning also increases. eg sales is on sale value of goods, if we dal was cost Rs40 earlier and not Rs80 now, we would also be paying higher sales tax.

Govt is making huge money in terms of sale of public holding companies, and selling natural resources ( wireless spectrum )

So where is all this money going ???
Was it required to reduce subsidy burdens so fast, or why not reduce taxes ?

Price rise
by Sahasranaman Natarajan on Jun 29, 2010 03:53 PM

Yester day petrolium minister says why people owning car need subsidy.
He is a millionaire, why he gets freebies and facilities and why he uses government car. ask him to come in his own car spending money from his own income(not bribe), then he will not open his mouth on this subject
