public hearing on projects
by vramanathan ramanathan on Mar 17, 2011 06:19 AM

jindal is nothing new, in this Tamil(corruption) nadu goondas of politicl parties do not allow protestors to enter places where public hearing is conducted. so projects with enviornmental damage start under a cloud. the number of brick kilns in villages spoiling the atmosphere are dime a dozen, no protest is made, no officials question these nefarfious deeds as these belong to politicians in banami names. Tamnar Project - Over a coal Mine
by Sreedhar Ramamurthi on Jun 29, 2010 12:45 PM

Excellent piece touching all aspects of this controversial project over a potential coal mine!
In my opinion, Corporate Growth in India thrives on violating the law and seeking consent to continuously violate. In fact many corporate leaders admit in private that it is impossible to undertake business in India if one were determined to follow the law. In the new era of Liberalisation, Privitisation and Globalisation exponential rent seeking and increasing trend of ownership of corporates by political entities or their surrogates violates or “short-cuts” the procedure. Mr Jindal is only the tip of this huge ice-berg. His family groups along with a dozen others of his ilk are the new Zamindars of India reversing us back to 1931 when it was abolished.
Further, the mechanism to muzzle the others who speak for the constitution and law of the land has been almost perfected. It is first to call them anti-development, next is to file false cases which would require the person to secure himself from imprisonment or flee the place and the absence utilized to call the person a Maoist. And then he is vermin. Can be hunted green!
The ire of MoEF’s decision has fallen on Mr Ramesh Agrawal and Jindal has taken step two – filing false cases. Perhaps Mr Jindal will be well advised to honourably withdraw the cases and take the battle where it is…

corrupted congress corrupted governance

These arrogant, emboldened and corrupt government led by Man Mohan a dummy prime minister and pro-capitalists tail wagger,are doing this since they came in power by chance 8 years ago.Since then only one thing is going on.How to loot and plunder the country in connivance with burocrates.
Man Mohan any way a ex burocrate, clerical & paper tiger and follow instruction from her madam sonia italia..He is no way fit to be PM.
he should have made like chinese exchange rate instead rs 48 a usdollor it should have done rs 24. so the prices will crash. since oil import bill is more than 100000 crore rupee out flow of forex will be lesser. the customs& central excise duties also come down on oil, so the customer can be given petrol at rs 15 a litre. why the communists are sitting idle while they have a big content to fight & bring down the government. congressman & burocrates amassed wealth in overseas, no one asking these men to bring back to India.

Is it realy so easy to bring down prices as suggested ? If so our export will also be cheaper, but production cost is very high and exporter will become bankrupt. China is having capacity to crushed any dissatisfaction arising from any government decision. We are not having this one even against criminals, terrorist etc. Before making any suggestions and implementing it some thoughts must be there.

by Debaditya Munshi on Jun 25, 2010 10:01 PM  | Hide replies

It is amazing to learn that a sitiing MP cum op industrialist can encourage the setting of the power plant without the permission granted from MOEF. Is this what we indians show to our fellow citizens that for money do anything and everything to any extent becoz of money and political power. Shameful Industrialist.

Its all drama. I can assure you nobody in the country can stop any congress person to do anything. Wait for sometime and you will see that project gets all the desired approvals.
