Mark & Spencers have done a great service to farmers by inducing them to reduce pesticide and water consumption in cotton cultivation. Hope they can bring the pesticide consumption to ZERO.
By the way, what are our good-for-nothing agricultural scientists doing besides collecting their monthly paychecks
When private companies and MNC's concentrate on holistic growth and sustained development of all the stakeholders it will be good for everyone involved. The Public Private Partnership is a good concept but due to the selfish and selfcentric nature of few corporates it is turning out to be a corruption hub. I think we need to appreciate these sorts of efforts and highlight as the growth story.
