IF the Wipro Chairman sees all these comments
by usnri on Jul 23, 2010 08:16 PM  | Hide replies

IF the Wipro Chairman sees all these comments, he will be ashamed of himself. I have never heard people commenting so badly on Infosys or any other company, than wipro.May be some of these comments are definetely true

Wipro worries US protectionism ???
Cursing Obama 100 times per month.

Wipro records 31% Growth, Proudy Premji never says its due to Obama !!!

Wipro is Dead companies in terms of R & D, so they are crying but its matter of competence to servive in USA.
Wipro should not depend on fake Testing & Infra Networrking projects.

Companies will win always if they have good team & Working models plus good products.
Due to LTTEs & Terror Malbaris employess at wipro, which is creating negative impacts on Investor, Clients & Employees.

US worries Banglore IT protectionism : As these companies working with LTTEs & Terror Malbaris.

LTTEs & Terror Malbaris have created horror in the whole world, look into the Australian issues, look into Malaysians issues, look into Gulf issues, now look into US issues all you find the traces of LTTEs & Terror Malbaris.

LTTEs & Terror Malbaris has thought protectionism to whole world as they are Non Co-operative in nature the whole world. They understand only Tamil & Malyali they can't adjust in the whole world except in Tamil Nadu & Kerala.

Share prices won't fall down futher.
Becos premji is holding 90% of share himself.

He can bet on each share price for more than Rs 1000 !!!

Amar

Main cause of falling prices are he is holding 90% of shares.
If he float 50% of shares in public, sure share prices will go up.

Companies like wipro are setting wrong industry standard like bidding very low valued projects, 45hrs or more work per week, taking out benefits whicvh other companies would follow. You can still call it business, but offcourse at the expense of peace of mind and quality of life. Thats why time to time some regulation is needed

Mr Jaminred this reply is to your billion dollar ques \"No, I am not committed to my employer, but I want him to be committed to me \" blah blah blah. i think if the company makes there employee permanent then the employees will never leave tht company. If they cannot gurantee there employees job security then y shud not employees go fot better option. I am sure if the IT companies give job security majority of ppl wl stick to same company. Moreover these are the same companies which ask for tax holidays and benefits so they should also fulfill some social obligations. I dun kno wht u do in WIPRO, but if u think that AZim premji will read ur \"defendings\" of the company in this blog and make u VICE PRESIDENT of wipro, then my frnd i m sorry to say its not going to happen. i m sure U r good at writing blogs only and it is going to be remain same in the future.

@jaminred :
Yes,i got ur point,i dont want my employer to be committed towards me but there is something called Business Ethics & Etiquettes... and if you do not follow that you'll not get best talent pool to work for you...You'll have resources, but the mediocre ones and u've to be satisfied witht that..is wipro heading towards that path??

time will only tell us.

If wipro didnt bid for low cost the project would still be in the US and not come to India, and we would be jobless, To get something you have to loose something else, but there are individual priorities and you have to decide whats important to you. Blaming the company doesnt help.

we grossly have high commitment towards the work that we do and thats how it should be. Pretty often we sacrifice lot of personal life to work long hours to get the quality job done in time. You don't have to be in love with your employer or the vice versa. But if you look at the terms of employment, it's already hugely in favor of the employers. Now these intermittent change of policies like working 45 hrs or more mandatorily, strict office hrs, taking out employee benefits in middle of the yr add to the pain and may not make sense.
And as you are defending bidding low cost project, although i kind of understand the issue but where it ends? there should be some global and regional regulation to have a minimum rate on hourly basis which can't be brought down or up at discretion. Otherwise it'll either become a zero margin business almost like what the telecom industry is going through these days or like real estate industry which creates a bubble and makes life difficult for common people.

So my question still remains unanswered, because everybody is reluctant to agree that "No, I am not committed to my employer, but I want him to be committed to me " :-)

Infosys result for this quarter is 9.3% and you say wipro with 30% is worser than Infosys. Good keep it up.
