A bouncing piezo electric transducer with two attached masses on its electrical contact east and west sides moving along a vertical rail on Earth's surface can produce electricity.should the action continue due to gravitational fall and rise

Zero Expense Domestic Lighting
by gopalkrishna nadkarni on Mar 29, 2015 05:37 PM  | Hide replies

The wall AC terminal has neutral and ground and in between the two there is an unbalance voltage of 5 volts or so.This is a high current source of the order of 10 Amps or more.
With step up transformer,a few CFC low wattage lamps can work. The power meter does not record this consumption.I have used this transmission line even to drive a loudspeaker in my neighbours place. Some care has to be taken to eliminate emi.
I did this experiment some five years ago

Energy from Earth's spin
by gopalkrishna nadkarni on Mar 29, 2015 06:48 AM

Planet Earth is a spinning body of enormous amount of stored power of an astronomical magnitude and available in everynody's backyard. It is possible to utilise this power much more effectively in India being closer to the Equator.A vast amount of research has been done in Mumbai,India and is available for discussion at all levels.
I would like our Prime Minister  Mr.Narendra Mody to read this and be aware of it.
In this ,there would be no combustion, transmission losses, tariff and mechanical noises
of any kind.Tata Powers is very well informed about this science.Even,it is possible to extract energy from Earth's orbital motion around the Sun using this science. This is not a short sighted Newtonian Physics but very much realistic. All Equatorial countries would be over blessed by this science..All big corporations are very well informed but they want to safeguard their interests too.
In short,we had Ashma yuga, copper yuga, and so many upto silicon yuga and now,it would be
 non-Newtonian Yuga...!!!!!!

Produce our own elctricity.
by guru on Jul 06, 2010 04:56 PM

How about everybody produce their own electrcity like to boost a wind mill or in absence of breeze , one can continue the rotation & charge the batteries. It may look absurd but may be developed/implemented at a low cost.

ABUNDANCE OF SOLAR POWER
by Valmiki Singh on Jul 03, 2010 11:46 AM  | Hide replies

India enjoys as best placed for exploiting solar power. It has on an average of 240 days of clear sky days in an year of 365 days.Rural population is to the tune of 70% of India's headcount. The main requirements of rural population in the country is mainly for lighting their houses.if this requirement is met through solar power, then the electricity(grid) saved can be diverted for industrial/other applications. It means that a faster developement of rural India.Power requirements for telecom utilities catering rural areas can be easily catered by Solar Photo Voltaic system, thereby savings on grid supply. In absence of grid supply ,these utilties use deisel as fuel for its captive power generation system. If these utilities are encouraged to use solar power compulsarily, there will be huge savings of grid electricity and of course the deisel too.further ,if the use of SPV are given encouragement by govt either by giving subsidies to the actual users more people will opt for it.This step will result in cut in T&D losses of the grid utilities.Few state govts are giving its farmers electircity free for irrigation purposes.Let us not forget that the electricity does not come for free, it makes deep dent in the pockets of state exchequers. If use of solar power is encouraged by the state govts, the power saved can be diverted to industries.first of all, it will require a change of mindset in the govt itself.Merely, patting its own back will not serve the purpose.Hope, govt wil

Here is for some comparision
Power tariff for hydro electric generation is rs 3 t0 Rs5 per unit whilst if its solar generated power it will cost approx Rs 15/unit. Government will have to heavily subsidise to make aam aadmi use it

With regard to the manner in which solar energy is converted into electrical energy there are 2 main methods – the use of solar cells and by concentrating solar power. Of these two methods the technique of using solar cells is more common, consequently it has been around for a while and is quite popular in many households. On the other hand the second technique i.e. the method of concentrating solar power has been a more recent technique and as of now – this method is most likely to be used for more commercial ventures. A solar cell or photovoltaic cell is a device that converts light into electrical current using the photoelectric effect .The basic principle here is that – an electric current is produced by certain materials when they release an electron. Electrons are released only when photons from the light rays strike these materials. A more expansive or large scale use of photovoltaic cells include a technique known as concentrating photovoltaics. Special solar tracker devices are used here so that the focal point of sun’s rays remains on the cell. Hence this technique compensates for the movement of the sun across the sky during a typical day. The second technique i.e. the concentrating of solar power, involves the use of lenses or mirrors along with tracking systems to focus sunlight from a large area into a small beam. The concentrated heat produced is used as the heat source in a conventional power plant.

Come on India u can do it
by Vikas Punia on Jul 03, 2010 08:33 AM  | Hide replies

Dear frnds i m electrical engineer: my dream seems to be materialising,,, my dream is that every indian should have enough electric power to use. presently despite consistent efforts by govt,,we have a huge power shortage,,,so i have decided to work for generation of solar/wind energy by individuals for the individuals (domestic consumers),,,it will be a great help for govt, when every indian will generate electricity for their own use,,, my slogan will be,,, bahar jitni dhoop or hawa,,,room utna thanda,,, but i will only be able to start working on this after i retire,,,one day my village will generate the electricity it needs at its own,,,and after some days /years all domestic consumers of my country,, i m proud of my countries Govt and business men,,,for coming out with innovative ideas,,,come on india u can do it,,best of luck to tata's,,,

I think biggest hurdle is storage of power for use of these sources
