Meant for only civilised countries whose citizens know how to use modern roads. On the way to the airport , one nick by an Indian driver , and the flying part of the journey is over.

It is a busy traffic on the road (say MG road of bangalore), and Mr A with flying car nears the traffic light turning red and gear up to fly his car.
Ms B from opposite side with flying car also is coming. They honk at each other n smile...
While they are doing so one Mr C will be overtaking Mr A from the wrong side..
Nice to see this to happen ;)

in this article written "If bad weather is encountered en route, the pilot can land and drive without worrying about ground transportation. and also in this article written "Terrafugia Transition can take off or land at any public use general aviation
airport with at least 2,500 feet of runway. so it cannot land on any roads except an airport, so how can a pilot land this in bad weather? sure he need and airport. so its just fooling to mention bad weather condition.

Designing an exclusive vehicle or any Gadget is a matter of teamwork, innovativeness and applications. But making it available for everyone involves business.Existing Business lobbies interfere with this availability due to their interests being challenged. Thus many good items never see the light of the day and get relegated to deep freeze.Technology is one thing Business is another.Again there are legal and political tangles. The issue is why think in the straight jacket of vehicles who require roads and fuel. There was a news item that now a single person can get airborne and remain there for a few hours on backpack battery!!

It can be adventurous when it on a highway and its totally traffic free, then it can take off and land after some distance at the highway. It can also be dangerous since the highway might not be even and smooth like a runway.
