SEcular does not mean hate majority gods. Secular mean co-existence of all religions under one umbrella with equal rights to all religions. While a Hindu god can be depicted on a particular note. A Cross or any other sign can be similarly used for any other note. Moreover, Rupee means Roupya in Sanskrit or Silver which is the symbol of Laxmi. Ideally Pakistan should use some name like Dinar or Riyal..Rupee is a Sanskrit name.

... that the congress never works on the most pressing items... banish 1000 rupee denomination. Have only 100 and 200 denominations. this will reduce black money to a large extent.

Eliminate corruption and reduce taxes, the real solution to a moralistic society. That will reduce black money and in a healthy manner.

There are different ministries involved in different tasks. All ministries cannot be involved in eliminating poverty and corruption. This is a good exercise. Its about time we had a symbol for the rupee.
