Talking to many chinese friends,i hear that Govt is working very hard to provide good education and English and most people are getting College degree and Masters degrees there. Also in Korea, most of the educated people are PhD's. Also , they are doing basic research in almost all fields and generating tons of patents. In India, most of us are leaving science and research and becoming IT coolies. We will be left behind very soon and China and their work-force will displace indians everywhere. Let Indians be aware of this.

India is educated middle class are thankful to private institutions run by various communities especially christians are mainstay of todays good showing in the field of education. The government schools in our country are as bad as any backward country.Plesae encourage private institutions and goverment should have a watch over them
India could have achieved 100% literacy years ago, but for the idiot Nehru. In the late 40's, India's first Finance Minister Sharmugga Chetty proposed increasing literacy from 10% to 90% within 10 years, and allocated a huge chunk of the budget for it. Nehru, the naive, arrogant, all-knowing brainiac, nixxed the idea, saying "India could not absorb all those literates". Chetty resigned in disgust in less than a year. Congress' ulterior motive was to keep the masses poor and ignorant so they can be easily manipulated with their lies, and totally dependent on govt {read Cong) for their very survival.
The SC is the only branch of govt that works- the Legislative and Executive branches are useless- only for show. The idiot Nehru at least did one thing right by giving constitutional sanction for anyone to directly petition the SC- without having to go through the useless, uncaring, corrupted babudom. All this talk of universal education is just that- just talk.
