Mr.Mishra dont be in a reverie with hundreds of corrupt politicians ruling our country it is a impossible dream.V have talent not just today for long long years ago, but c the condition of the talents. They will be languishing in a government office as chowkidar, peon or babu or even an officer. Our politicians have so far not recognised and encouraged the talent for fear of their invention cutting their deep pockets. Have U seen any scientist rewarded by the government of india. All the talent flourishes outside help other countries benefit from their talent. There will be assurances on paper but no action. These goonda politicians are there to eat India as a whole and not to serve it. v all know that chinese are hard on india and want to encroach and even encroached. What our spineless politicians have done. There is no matching of armoury witht the chinese. There is infighting on placement of orders for procurement of milatarywares, probably for the cut. If,God forbid, china attack the scenario of 1962 is on the cards.God should save the country from the enemies from within and outside(China).

There is nothing wrong with India, why?
by Nikhil Shah on Jan 11, 2010 11:46 PM

Both India and China from the periods of 1700-1850 dominated world's share of GDP upto 48 percent combined. After the industrial revolution productivity skyrocketed in Europe and US with automation and use of steam, petrol and coal as energy sources. Both India and China were agrarian cultures who roots were buried deep in the soil and had difficulty making changes. Smaller countries like Japan, Singapore and Hong-kong were able to force the changes early in the 1850s.

Though India and China will make progress till 2050, the per capita won't catch up with west till 2090. The progress was hampered due to population growth, when antibiotics and the green revolution reduced deaths dramatically.

India is the greatest, but we want to leave and live in USA
by Mahakavi jollydoss on Jan 11, 2010 11:11 PM  | Hide replies

All the indians in America and Britain display extraordinary pride about India only because they leverage whatever standing India has to make their own lives better there, and they will never ever leave USA or Britain.

there are two reasons why overseas indians want success for india.

1) it is a business opportunity for them.
2) the main reason is that they have a complex about westerners looking down on them so they need india to decently well so they can stand proud and talk about their heritage. They have no intention to go back to India, oh no, thats beneath them. I know so many Indians in America who lost their job in the economic crisis, but as soon as their visa was revoked, they looked to go to canada. But before their visa was revoked, they all talked about how they plan to go back to india immediately and how they love india. But when the reality set in after visa revoking, they all ran to canada.

What else are they going to say after getting a free trip? Don't they know the places they saw and their experience was managed and staged. What kind of education are they getting. I live in India and I see poverty everywhere. By denying there is poverty, we will not solve it.

How SC are treated here. How Mayawati treats upper class. It is all question of mindset. Bramin and SC is all created in minds. So that all Hindus fight and kill themself. I mean kill there positive energy by wasting in fighting. Every one who is well wisher of India is welcome and all those who are traitor of Country, should be kicked by strong law, consiperacy against State.
Then only India will have tremendous progress. Now all the just cheating each other. Playing games.

On 11th day of Jan'10 afternoon,

a man RSS was riding in the back of his limousine when he noticed two men eating grass by the road side.

He ordered his driver to stop and he got out to investigate.

"Why are you eating grass?" he asked one man

-consultant.

"We don't have any money for food," the poor man replied.

"Oh, come along with me then." the man from the limousine said excitedly.

"But sir, I have a wife with two children!"

"Bring them along!

And you, come with us too!" he said to the other man

-Abdullah.

"But sir, I have a wife with six children!" the second man answered.

"Bring them as well!" So, they all climbed into the car,

which was no easy task, even for a vehicle as large as the limousine.

One of the poor fellows expressed his gratitude,

"Sir, you are too kind. Thank you for taking all of us with you.

" The rich man replied, "No, thank you... the grass at my place is about three feet tall and I could use the help!"

Stop producing like rats if you can't look after them.
Don't keep a dog if you can't feed yourself.
If you do poverty is bound to set in, That is what India is doing.
No wonder there are slums and poverty everywhere.

by Varun Shekhar on Jan 11, 2010 10:33 PM  | Hide replies

Very uplifting sentiments expressed by the two girls, but what is distressing is how they could have formed an impression of India based on one film! Didn't their parents, their own reading and simply common sense tell them that India is a very complex and dynamic country, and that people are warm and friendly? How many more poorly informed PIO's are like this?

That is what congress is selling to World. With slumdog, and JHUGGI cluster culture prevailing in even small time towns. People have no shame in making a shanti and living in them. They are living like PIGGS and well protected for sake of VOTE bank. What they will face Country like CHINA, which is 1000 times better in all the respect. You see the Games, Economy, FDI, Military Power and overall wealth.

no need of compliments fron NRI
by Jerry Thomas on Jan 11, 2010 05:42 PM  | Hide replies

if i was given a chance to live in this world i would prefer india 10 out of 10 times. there is basically only one thing which is not implied properly in india and that is civic sense . If any NGO start teaching civic sense we shall be no. 1 country in the world. India is the only country where everything is abundant including the population but it is very difficult to distribute the same to the people as the logistics has improved very recently . the culture and humanity in india is the best barring few stray people. I am born & brought up in mumbai and the respect & the friendship from all religion , linguistic, caste are superior. With india i salute maharashtra . even few leaders who does not want outsider in mumbai are not against the outsider but the way they make the city dirty and bring in their politics while living here and they do not respect the city they are living but this also will be diffused shortly . forget corruption it is a international phenomena

See, everyone? With citizens so capable of being unbiased, objective, and practical, what more does India need?

The bane of India today is the fact that Indians either starve to death or live in a dreamworld as illustrated above. To solve problems, one has to first acknowledge their presence.

"To solve problems, one has to first acknowledge their presence"

Very very correct.ANd prob with most Indians is that they dont want to accept their shortcomings as a community and improve on it,but they only love to live in a self glorified image of India & Indian..channting India Shining.. bharat Mahan. I feel the humantiy levels are much higher in westerners compared to Indians,Indians do not respect people with lower positions, income, power, strength or so called caste. They are just taken for granted. In west.. no one shouts or abuses his sub-ordinates even on grave mistakes. The boss of the company says 'good morning'to house keeping fellow by him self. They dont for get to say thank you..for a smallest of thing someone does for them..even if it was their duty to do.Indians say..westerners live a plastic life of formalities...while thing is..INDIANS LIVE A LIFE WHERE EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING IS TAKEN FOR GRANTED.
We all need to be more greatful, express more grattitude,be more humble, more kind, more nice to all our fellow human beings..regardless of what their position is or which class of society they belong to.We can emerge out successfully only when we love and respect each other
