I am writing from South Korea. I read in the news paper here that India is becoming the next Tokyo or Detroit. And about Tata motors, they are certainly India's pride. They may be not be an international favourite, but I hope they grow in time. Hyundai, holding the number 2. position in India didnt gain the success just like that. I am seeing it in Korea how the Govt. and people are so patriotic in developing and protecting their brands. South Korea a leading captilistic country used the globalization in a great way in promoting their products in their counrty (and not allowing MNCs to enter) and then moving on to capture the world. (Samsung beat Sony long back to be the leading electronics brand). It is a good news that Videocon is setting up a new plant in TN. I use rediffmail because it is Indian.

You are right Korean brands are now leading all over the World & beating Japs hollow and that is a very good sign (because I do not like Japs & their inferior products which have killed best of the products from UK, USA, Germany, France etc) Koren Co.s like Samsung, Hyundai, LG are leading players in India in every product they manufacture. BUT THEIR POLICY OF NOT PERMITTING MNCs TO ENTER KOREA BUT KOREANS OPERATE ALL OVER THE WORLD, IS A BAD PHILOSOPHY. THEY MUST BE KICKED OUT EVEN INDIANS HAVE TO BUIY INFERIOR PRODUCTS OR INDIA SHOULD DEMAND EQUAL STATUS FOR INDIAN PRODUCTS/COs TO OPERATE IN KOREA. BUT INDIANS CAN OPERATE IN KOREA ONLY FEW PRODUCTS LIKE PAPAD, INDIAN PICKLES, CHYAVANPRASH, ALU BUKHARA, HYDERABADI BIRYANI, GONGURU PICKLES & NOTHING MORE. BUT DONT UNDERESTIMATE INDIANS & THEIR CAPABILITIES IN SOME OF THE FIELDS. INDIANS CAN TEACH CORRUPTION, BACK BITING POLITICS, LOOTING OUR OWN BRETHREN (LIKE ANDHRAS LOOTING THEIR OWN TELANGANA BROTHERS IN THEIR SHARE OF RIVER WATERS, GOVT JOBS, SEATS IN COLLEGES, IMPROVING INFRA STRUCTURE ETC) CHEATING BANKS (IN JUST LAST 3 DAYS 2 GANGS FROM ANDHRA REGION CHEATED BANKS IN HYDERABAD), ENCROACHING ON OTHERS LANDS, SELLING SAME PROPERTY TO ANY NUMBER OF PEOPLE, AND THE LIKE. PLEASE TELL REDIFF READERS IF THERE ARE ANY SUCH OPPORTUNITIES AND OUR ANDHRAS WILL IMMEDIATELY STOP THEIR AGITATION FOR UNITED ANDHRA AND IMMEDIATELY SHIFT LOT, STOCK & BARREL TO KOREA.

May be Koreans reporters are not properly informed. They do not know that India has already become Detroit & Tokyo, not now but 10 yrs ago but not in Car manufacturing but in traffic jams without as many cars.
i suppose there are no other cars then tata's at the expo ? like the new beats ? and talking about maruti there concept cars remain only concept ... if i am not mistaken... once there are on road there material looks so cheap like the SX$

tata's the only company which has come out with a meaningful products, whereas other companies are still treating our show as second rate, kudos to Tata we Indians have a tendency to praise everything foreign, it seems that Mr.domnic is a prime example of that

mr.domnic, please dont ridicule the best industrialist ...everyone has his learning phase..but all of us know TATAs true contribution to the society at large...my mother and father are treated for their cancer myself in the TATA memorial hospital... and i dont think there is any better industrialist as sincere as Mr.Tata...i would buy a car just for his success..Domnic we have seen many bigwigs who care hoots for the society...and here is someone with a diff...so please support the TATA..PS i am not a TATA employee

please see the website mudra dot com why-ratan-tata-is-a-respected-the-most and i promise the readers they will next time choose a TATA product or car( if they have some surplus funds...)

Dear Rocky, I agree absolutely. Tatats and for that matter M&M too have to get their act together. Merely producing cheap cars which fall apart in no timer is no solution. Not only the Indica but high end cars like the Safari & Scorpio have serious quality control ,problems. I own a 2009 Micro Hybrid Scorpio which is giving constant problems although it has done just 8000 kms. This is no way for a Rs.10 lacs plus car to behave.

Hi! Tata's concept are always gud but that's not a dream brand for anybody. peoples generally use to take the tata's vehicals in Cab's features n all. let c those new models play what role in TML sucess....
