The denial of a formal manufacturing license to L&T had nothing to do with "siphoning off by extremist elements" and everything to do with vendetta (the Letters of Intent were granted by NDA govt) and the typical Commie policies of Congress- keeping everything under govt control, even when these useless idiots couldn't even design and produce a simple head-pin.

by rabi sahoo on Jan 04, 2010 08:06 PM

The concept of Govt control over manf and disribution is a suitable policy for Babus and specially Ghosh like babus of OFB headquartered in the Babudom of Kolkata. The product are of wrost quality and price is of MOON. These inefficient companies has to be closed and a conglomerate of Private Company with 49% FDI be allowed for fair compitition and futher development.

This is right time to act. Please let OFB product be with the armed forces of Comunists of Bengal & Kerala who love everything of Govt, For Govt , By Govt.

world war 3 is fixed

When India, the leader of the Non Aligned Movement, least aggressive nation, is forced to start a multinational Military Industrial Complex, it is a sure sign that World War 3 is at our doorstep.

China's idiocy or world leader's complicity, the signs are definitely very very bad.

Is this a preparation for the water riots and food riots expected to be coming soon?

Alarmism is now mandatory, just as much as terrorism is a reality.

Nothing more, nothing less.

Don't get so alarmed. By the time private manufacturers would deliver a single bullet, our next generation would grow old. At that time no one will care for NAM, China,WW3, etc.

I think it is time India takes up some aggressive steps in defence and national security issues. For too long, our non aggressive behaviour has been exploited by our two neighbours (viz. china and pakistan). But proper licensing and regulation is essential to stop free flow of arms to civilian population. Else it would result in far more aggressive crimes and a total failure of the social structure.

It took a lot of aggressive mindset (60 years) to decide that licences has to be provided. So we can expect our weapons on similar timelines. :)
