Fine the pesky callers and the operators a couple of hundred crores and they will be scurrying for cover and find solutions immediately But in our country where murderers,scamsters and rapists get away scot free,this sort of a nuisance will never get resolved.
I receive around 40 to 50 unsolicited SMSes and 10 calls related to banking, finance, club memberships, insurance, property etc. DISGUSTING espacially while in roaming

If you have a Nokia, download a small free utility called sms blocker and you will be saved of this trouble.

Obviously its a racket and a cartel. The telemarketing companies want to stay afloat, so do the biggie companies, who wish to have their marketing dept. They will surface again only when someone files a PIL
Whenever you receive a SMS spam , just go to the url of the website and click "Contact US" button and give the company a piece of mind for the SMS spam.
It has been really a headache...I have Airtel & BSNL sim cards...I receive 10's of msgs from both sim in a single day...and there is not time regulation...Disgusting...all nonsense.....can't they be blocked...
